Purchased 1999 C230 3 months ago. Excellent condition, loaded, 74,000 miles, like new inside/out, clean CarFax and pre-purchase inspection. Great little luxury car. Several compliments on how well it rides and looks. It's fun to drive and a very classy car. Excellent 2nd car for putzing around.

Purchased As Used

i bought a used one in good condition, i have about 125,000 miles on it. so far i had to change the brakes and the belt, all obviously due to the age of the car. the windshield wiper motor wore out and had to be replaced. however this a was a diy job.
its a comfortable ride-its a benz- and gas consumption is wonderful. in terms of handling it isnt a sports car but you wont catch this car skidding around out of control. plenty of power- i live in SF and lug around a full car of dj equipment up and down crazy narrow hill streets and i couldnt of been happier- but you can tell its not the sport version when trying to drag race your buddies.
maintenance is surprisingly cheap for a benz. shoping around for parts is hard at times but ive found everything i needed at prices that were tolerable for a person with a part time job!
The inside is styled nicely with seat warmers and leather, carpets are stain proof or something because there was no stain i couldnt get out. outside styling is nice with a newer version of the body type and the square head lights arent the big ugly ones from the older versions, they actually look like the thinner ones on the older AMG models. however the head lights on this car suck. not bright enough at all.
Overall a great car, ive seen them for very little for what they are. its an older car that still is styled enough to look saucy but not attract attention. i would change the brake lights and give it an all chrome grille to make it look like something newer.this car is fun and comfortable to drive, and affordable to maintain....read morehide
