I purchased my Carmry CE new for $14,475 in 1999 and now have 85,000 miles to date. I was one of those rare people who got the car in the advertisement. This model threw in auto light turn off, automatic windows and locks... the only thing it didn't have that an LE has was a better interior and cruise control.

I have only performed the standard maintenance, changing oil, transmission fluid, brakes, brake fluid. My car runs terrific and like new and is the best purchase I ever made. Only issue I seem to have is a rear tail light that seems to need replacement every 6 months or year.

Bought this car used for $5,000...and five years later its STILL worth about $5000! How's that for holding value? This is my car and it now has over 136K miles. Never any major repairs and still gets 28mpg.

My only complaint is the painting process on the plastic grill, the paint started peeling off at about 120K miles. Not such a big deal since the plastic underneath is the same color....read morehide
