Fuel good for a sports car of this class. Rides very good also. Handles and performanes unbelievable

-This car is outstanding. Being a car buf, this was something I didn't seem coming. Went out that day to buy a used 02 porsche, and test drove and 02 M3 and was sold. I had my time driving a Toyota, Subaru, VW, etc. Now even you pay me I would not drive one of those cars. STi, WRX or MR2, nice cars no doubt, they out perform many Benz and BMWs. That's not the point. You can't get the feeling of driving a M3 or E55 in those average cars. You experience at the same time performance, handling, luxury, sophistication and great satisfaction in driving a M3. Once you get use to drive these beautifully made cars, there is no turning back. When you have the means, you have more options. You likely will not look into the name plates of Toyota, Subaru or VW.

I drive a '04 M3. I could have bought a WRX or STi with only half of the money. But that idea did not even cross my mind, I tested MB CLK500 and SLK350, Porche Boxter S and a used 911, even a Caddy CTS-V. M3 seemed to be the best choice to me, and relatively the best value. 3 month of ownership, I have not regreted a bit. You just need to drive it to experience it. You develop a bond with the car as you drive more, and you will look forward every time you get to drive the car. I have four cars, MB E320 and Acura MDX and a classic, the M3 is the only one I yarn to drive everyday....read morehide

the handiling of the bmw m3 is not that of a ferrari having owned both but the exceptional handling of this car exceeds my expectation and the comfort and room it provids verses the italian car is greater. the price of this car can not compare to other imports in that it is reasonibly low.

WITH THE M3 EVERYWHERE YOU GO PEOPLE LOOK AT YOU! IT IS FAST AND LOOKS GOOD!

I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE CLUTCH AND THE TRANSMISSION ALSO THE RUBBER PIECES IN THE DOOR JAMS

IT HAS BEEN A GOOD CAR EVEN WITH THE PROBLEMS THAT I HAD, I AM ONLY 25 YEARS OLD AND I HAD 45 YEAROLD GUYS SAY THAT THE M3 IS THEIR DREAM CAR.

smg is garbage, slow off the start

if i had it to do all over again i definitely would not get the smg. it's slow off the start and if it's less than 40 degrees outside it sticks. the m3 is my first bmw and will probably be my last. i expected more for $63k.

Good power,performance,responsive engine,reliable

very expensive to maintain,gas mileage isn't that great

Overall this car is amazing. The power is unbelieveable. I just bought a preowned 2003 BMW M3 with 4,000 miles. Yes the WRX STi may have .2 seconds for the 0-60 time, but does the STi have available SMG transmission,navigation,the amazing European engineered engine/suspension,luxury mixed with the great performance. I dont think so. The STi may be $25,000 cheaper, but I would rather suffer paying that amount of money to drive an M3 anyday....read morehide

I just bought the new C55 AMG, that is dusting the M3.
I don't know how I ended up here in the M3 review site, but you guys are killing me with your only concern of horse power.
There is a huge difference reading the reviews on Mercedes owners....thank god that some people have more in ther brain cells then power and more power.

Here in Taiwan an M3 costs about 128,000 USD
Man,if were in the U.S. I would buy one.

for those who can't afford one, keep on driving your affordable subaru, honda, acura, etc.....

there is nothing like the M3!!!!!!!!!!!

all BMWs are awsome, they are beneficial than a lot of cars, too plus they are pretty powerful and use less gasoline than any other cars. like the 740i that can achieves 15 miles on cities with a v12 engine that produces more than 500 hp i think. also every model of BMW are fast and all of them are sports cars. i like both of their interiors and exteriors, they are too good.
