I have owned this car since Oct '03 when it came out. I'm currently at 95,000 miles and going strong. I still get about 32-36mpg on highways and around 22-25 in the city. The cargo on this vehicle is immense, my brother has called it a mini u-haul. The rear seat does not have much legroom when the fronts are full back, but it can fit 4 comfortably for decent trips. We bought it certified used and have had very little problems with the car. On long trips between WI and UT we have twice averaged over 34 mpg. That's more than it is listed at!!! A very practical car with great power in the v6.

I have never owned and driven such a luxurious automobile. It is dependable, the steering is smooth as butter, brakes work at the drop of a dime. When I drive this car, I feel as if I've won the lotto and was able to buy the best car in the world. I am very happy that I purchased this car. Having owned several American made cars, the malibu is by far the most dependable and quality made vehicle produced in the United States. The ride, comfort, and great mileage are superb. This car is great for someone who wants alot of toys but not alot of cash! Love the remote start and the gas mileage for this to be a V-6. If your on a budget you need to check out this car!

I actually hunted far and wide for a 2004 Malibu with a 2.2 litre 4-cylinder. Why? Because they are about five-grand cheaper, the four-banger is not in great demand (meaning dealers are willing to deal) and I think the Ecotec engine give me plenty of power. This is the fifth GM car I've owned with the 2.2 litre. Hey, it's not a race car, but it gets good gas mileage. I traded in a 2002 Cavalier (good riddance -- too small for me), plus I got $4,500 in GM incentives. This car rides as good as (or better than) an Accord or Camry, at a much better price. Nice extras, bells, whistles...power everything. Hope they last. Right now I've got less than 100 miles on the car. I'll write back in a year or so and let you know how I like it....read morehide

I would highly recommend this car.

Time for a new car and the wife made the choice. I was impressed with the features, adjustable foot pedals and steering column. Works great for her and I can adjust it to fit me. Nice technology and sound system for the cost. Good ride and sound repression. Enough power for town and the freeway. We actually got the 32 MPG....read morehide

I just bought the car a few days ago, but I could not be more pleased. I got the LT and the inside is great. Plenty of room, tons of features, and the car drives wonderful. I work in insurance and I have heard nothing but good things from all my customers who have a new Malibu. The insurance symbol is good too. My LT is a rating symbol 10, compared to my last car - a Volkswagen Jetta which was a symbol 16. I am looking for a rate decrease in my insurance premium. Highly recommend the car....read morehide
