Rocker arms in both heads fell off ripped bolts out of head, ac dont work, heater dont work. rides smooth down the high way though

Certainly "not like your daddy's Monte Carlo!!" Rides great, head turner.

Cons

Problems with front brakes warping easily.

I have had my 2003 SS for about 18 months. I have had the front rotors turned twice and then replaced. The replaced rotors have been turned once already and are probably warped again. I'm not seeing where others have had the same problem so I am wondering if others have had a similar experience....read morehide

I've had my superior blue Monte for almost 5 months now, NO problems and for the most part I am very satisfied with this car.

installed a new sound system and put on some 20 inch wheels and she sure is pretty. it might be love.

I've had great fuel mileage, rides smooth

I have a 2003 Monte and I love it, it's victory red, get lots of compliments everywhere. Had NO problems. I do alot of highway mileage. I have 41K miles on it already, it'll be 2 years since I bought it new. I do keep up with the maintence, oil changes, etc.

I got my 2004 Supercharged Intimidator SS about a month ago. I love it!! It's fast, handles well, and is not a "cookie cutter" look like some of the other mid size coupes. I've had np problems at all, and thre is a Hypertech power programmer chip that will reprogram the PCM for faster acceleration, firmer shifts, more supercharger boost, etc. for those who need even more power. But stock this car goes 135 mph, how much faster do you need to go???? I'm keeping it forever....read morehide

I bought 04 this last sumer, Its Black Intimaidator model, and I love it, The car does not look like all the other cars on the road, It drives good,and has plenty of power with the supercharger.

I love my 2001 SS and will never get rid of it if I can. However, it seems that Chevy as taken every effort to prevent this from being a muscular American car. Not giving a V8 option, making it a FWD, and not offering a manual. Although I hear they will make a V8 FWD for 2006, it will involve a design change. They should offer a V8 for the current design, it deserves it, looking as sleek as it does. The car is great, and should definitely be looked at by anyone who is considering a new car. Don't misunderstand, the car is incredibly fast for regular city or highway driving and it handles well. I just don't appreciate the effort put in by Chevy, or lack there-of. The car has a great appearance for a sport car, but not the performance. It could be compared to Mustangs and GTOs, rather than Camrys and Accords....read morehide

I've had my 2004 Intimadator SS for nearly 3 weeks now and it's turned more heads than I can count. I think the 3.8 ltr supercharged V6 is conservatively rated @ 240 HP. It's fast, quiet, smooth and very responsive. It's not stolen so if it develops rattles, squeaks and window problems with only 7k miles, I can take it back to the dealer to be fixed. I've owned a Saab 900 Turbo and a Mercedes SEL and this car puts both of them to shame for the money....read morehide
