Transmission clunks!! Cheap construction.

Couldn't stand trans clunk (2 to 3 up/down shift) anymore ; ended up taking five months and arbitration to force Chevy to replace the trans. New trans has same symptoms that the original one started with. If this one goes bad at 5000 like the first one will dump it and go foreign. Have been a GM customer forever but this truck and the attitude of GM over fixing it has ruined the relationship!...read morehide

Pros

ride with style and confort, off-road capabilities are good, pulls a trailer with no problem.

Cons

paint scratches very easy, bad gas milege, avg (14mpg hwy), always in the shop

since ive bought this truck new in feb of 2003, it has been in the shop about ten times. most of the prblems i am having are with the internal cab electronics. i have 34k on it and the front and rear bumpers both are starting to rust. the truck went into the shop after putting around 5 miles on it when i first bought it. other tham that, the truck is a very good looking truck. it handles and drives great. i still would go with a new ford over this one, but for a truck in its class, the new nissan titan blows them all away....read morehide
