Purchased As New
I boutght the van new as it was the only thing on the market with all of the features including moon roof, remote power sliding doors on both sides and a remote power lift gate. A cooling line rusted through at about 40,000 miles which was not covered by warranty because it was not part of the drive train. 10,000 miles later the heads warped. The dealer that gouged us to replace them did such a poor job, that the bottom half of the engine needed to be replaced 5,000 miles later. Numerous other electrical quirks and body and paint defects have also appeared. This was an expensive vehicle for a Dodge. I should have listened to my wife and bought the Odyssey. I had driven a dodge grand caravan for 9 years before getting the 2004 anniversary edition. The previous van was quiet to drive at all speeds. The 2004 anniversary edition feels like there is no sound proofing or insulation. It is impossible to hear a cell phone ring or people talking, without shouting. In addition, the brakes squeal when damp. Hugely disappointing!!! I would NOT have purchased a "new" dodge van if I had test driven it for noise, instead of assuming that it would be like my old van....read morehide

As an owner of a 1996 Plymoth Grand Voyager that is still running great, we decided to stay with Crysler. This time Purchasing the Dodge Anniversary Edition Grand Caravan. Our dealer experience was a little less than satisfactory, but we are very satisfied with the vehicle. I have noticed a big difference going from a 3.3 liter to a 3.8 when pulling our boat. We also selected one with the tow package / load leveling, moon roof and electric pedal setting, and rear auto hatch opening. Good - It is smooth when driving, handles like a dream and is comfortable. The children love the DVD system, which is hardly ever off. Bad - Little things like the engine being a bit loud at times and the rear bucket seat cup holders seem easy breakable. Maybe just me, but the line of sight all around seems slightly impared compared to our Voyager.
All around very nice and recommended....read morehide
