I purchased a brand new 04 Sonata in Feb. 2004, and I have to say that it was a good investment. The car is superb in its appearance and it drives like a dream. It is roomy enough for a family, and it's even better for a single person. I'm telling all my friends about the Sonata, and a few of them has purchased a Hyundai. I'm really glad I bought my Sonata....read morehide

I purchase a new car about every two and 1/2 years and this is the first car since my 1978 Thunderbird that has not indicated a need for major repair under warranty ! NO REPAIR AS AMATTER OF FACT ! I purchased this one , a 2004 Sonata LX October 1 2003. Asof this date Dec 26 2004 have only good things to say. My wife loves it !...read morehide

I never thought I would be happy with a car in this price range (17-22k) but it has consistently surprised me. It has a large amount of the features that cars in the 25-30k range have. Climate control, side air-bags, woodgrain trim, sport-shifter, lights at key points (mirrors, glove box, lighter), etc. NONE of the other cars I looked at in this bracket had all of those things. It's not a bad looking car, and the leather seats are quite comfortable, even over long distances. The only thing I had to change was to add tinting to the windows. The non-UV glass that comes stock lets in entirely too much heat in desert regions. It's never required service (other than oil changes) so far. On the whole, I have been absolutely delighted with this car....read morehide

This car is not what I thought it was going to be. I wanted comfort, style, a smooth ride, and good gas mileage. The gas mileage is poor, the ride not smooth, however it is a pretty car. After my husband and I bought this car I thought I would love driving it but I quickly gave the car to him and resumed driving my 99 Toyota Camry which beats the Sonata in almost every way. I will never stray from a Toyota again....read morehide

I have had my Sonata for almost 3 years now, 2002 GLS model. I am totally good with it, has tons of power, and is very comfortable. Some small recall over time and a small issue at the very beginning with the front end but other than that I have 60k on it now and loving it. By all means worth the money and more. Word of wisdom to those that may have one and in need of second set of tires...get bridgestone potenzas, run incredible on this car!...read morehide

My previous car was an Audi A4 and it drove me crazy with repair costs so i decided to buy soething i don't have to fix. The car rides great and has not given me a bit of trouble over the last year. Of course with the warranty it has I probably wouldn't mind if it did. I highly recommend buying one. Great price, greater warranty!!...read morehide

I have 3 Hyundai all runs well except my Sonata 2001, Air conditioning broke.
I got 55K mileage on it. bad thing is KEYES Hyundai in Van Nuys don't do the service anymore. I hope that the warranty is still good in any HYUNDAI repair center.

Got a 2004 Sonata GLS; now have 7000+ miles...not a singel problem. Car quite comfortable, rides very well, decent power (have 2.7L V6). Car looks great and turns lots of heads...one lady came up at gas station and said she 'loved my mercedes.' She couldn't believe it was a Korean made Hyundai. I've owned and driven many more expensive cars, my wife mainly drives this, but it's a great car....read morehide

Bought a 2002 Santa Fe and put 31,000 trouble free miles on it. Traded it for 2004 Sonata GLS. Both vehicles have been great. Looks good, finish is great, and interior is well-made. Tight driver legroom is my only gripe, I'm over 6 ft. 1 in. and it could use a little more stretching room. I also own a Cadillac DeVille, but I always seem to wind up driving the Hyundai when I go run errands. It is a fun driving experience. Oh yeah, be sure to get the sunroof!...read morehide
