Purchased As New
excellent fuel consumption and road handling. I rate this a 5 star considering the price I paid for it with the safety, reliability, handling and the fact that I am driving a mercedes benz and not a Toyota.

I've been driving this beauty for more than 6 month now and I'm extremely pleased. The exterior look is very nice with the uged 245 rear wheel, the sunroof, mags, etc. The EPS system is marveleous and necessary here in the snow for a propulsion car. The performance are outstanding, almost too much for me. And it drive so smoothly even on poor quebec rodes...going at 100 feeling like 60...
The only 3 little tiny bad thing about the 2004 model (not sure about 2005): CD optional even in 2004, door lock old style and in arms way, cup holder can't quite hold 2 in front. So like I said...very minimal compared to all the rest...read morehide

Except for average tires this is a great car. The 4-MATIC is seamless in operation and ESP keeps me out of trouble...its a very smart car. No troubles at all and service department is Professional Mercedes all the way.

Frequency of repair high, car has been back for repairs 6 times in 10 months. The check engine light came on once, computer chip in crankshaft went bad, car stalled and would not start. Had to be towed to dealership. Happened twice before dealer got it fixed. Electricial system went bad, car phone and cig lighter never worked. sun roof leaked. In short the car was junk. A very very expensive dodge.
Never again will I buy a M.B....read morehide

You will love this car, it is one of the best around. I have had my car since June and have not had one problem on it. It is incredibly smooth and quiet. It is very luxurious on the interior and exterior and depending on what package you get on it there are many gadgets to play with . If you want a smooth quiet comfortable luxury car that is classy go for the c240 2004. This car is affordable even for the younger generation I am only 24 and the payments are not to bad considering that all your service and roadside assistance is included....read morehide

I have a 320C and love the car. I use to drive a BMW 535i and paid $6,000 a year in maintance. With the silver arrow I have had some fees but most things are covered under warrenty. The power is much more fun then my 5. In my parking space on the right is a 525BMW and on the other side is a Volvo sconvertable. I paid way less and have more fun! Go Benz!...read morehide

Mine is a 2003. Had it since Dec 2002. An excellent car with all the luxury features that only now are appearing on the top of the line of Lexus.
Even though this is a station wagon, one needs to look in the rearview mirror to remember one is in a station wagon. Not a single rattle, and not a single warranty item. Excellent !!!
The only problem, as with all MB's, one must watch the speedometer. This car loves to cruise at 110 mph....read morehide

To all the 1 star haters out there, you are on a Mercedes review page, who care if YOU like BMW more! I don't, I hated the 325 I drove and would have bought a Honda Accord over it any day.
Now to the people that think a C-class is for people who can't afford an E or S class; I owned an S430 prior to my C230. I decided to tae a less active role in my company last year, which meant I did not need a huge S430 to tote clients around in any longer, and with both kids in college, it is typically just me and my wife whenever we go anywhere. I bought a C230 Sedan because I found it far superior to drive than the A4, 325i, and G35. I would bet alot of C-class owners bought theirs for the same reason as myself. If Mercedes didn't have the C-class, I would have probably bought an A4; I would not have bought an E-class even though my financial situation permits a $70k car.
I would bet the judgmental writers of the C-class have never even had an opportunity to drive a Mercedes!
Dream On!...read morehide

After 4 months & NO problems, I find my C-230 Sport Sedan solid, smooth, quiet, quick w/ very good gas mileage & fun to drive. Better yet, the exterior is gorgeous & the safety features are second to none. My only complaints are the heavy steering under 10 mph & semi-auto seats as standard eqpt. The dealer negotiation was extremely pleasant/fair & I anticipate excellent service. Check this car out if you want a near luxury sport sedan priced in the low $30's....read morehide
