Well I want to start off by saying that this is a great car. I have owned mercedes all of my driving career and plan on owning them for the rest of my life.
Alright, first off, if you are going to write a bad review, you must learn to spell so people can understand what you are saying. Two, it doesn't sound like you've ever even owned a Mercedes or have ever ridden in one. Sounds like you went to a dealer looked inside of it, liked it, then realized that it was too expensive so you thought you'd lose your mind and write a bad review. People, please, PLEASE at least ride in a Mercedes before you give it a one star and then be too lazy to rate the appearance, comfort, performance, value and overall satisfaction. To be honest with you, I have no idea why anyone would dislike this car. Lee, you really can't say anything wrong about this car until you actually acquire a taste in nice cars. I am 3300 miles overdue for a tune up and the car still runs like a dream. Most of those other cars out their some of you people are speaking of are pee-ons. Sure they are good cars, but with a Mercedes you really can not fail. The car is classy and the looks to it amaze even the simplest of eyes. And certainly don't publicly bash a car until you have actually owned one or two or even five of that car and have the mental capacity to actually compare it to something. I love my ML but have concerns about my pick with Mercedes. I have had my 03 ML350 for a little over a year and it has been in the shop for repairs 5 times in the past 4 months. These are not repairs done in a day but up to a week at a time. I am starting to have 2nd thoughts of the choice of car I made. I have a 2002 ML320.
I am surprised reading bad review on this car. Bad reviews seems like do not have any base.
I have driven many other cars but nothing satisfied me as much as the ML.
Drives like a car but also it is a very good 4x4. Plus, it has very nice looks and interior design, quality as well.
I made almost 60K miles without a single problem. I will keep it as much as I can. I think it is even cheap comparing to what it gives you. I load my dogs, cage and the luggage for weekend trips and it takes whatever I load in it. I went through mountains, beaches and many miles of long distances and it was always dependable....read morehide

This is the worst vehicle ever produced in the world to sell for that much money and have nothing to offer. I own two BMW's, and this one is not worthy to be spoken of in the same breath...In fact all other Makes of SUV today are better than this one. the ML500 is a great car,it has a powerfel engine,it also has a standard DVD navagation system!!!

I have owned this vehicle since 1999, and in a word, it is the best car I have ever owned. I take mine 4-wheeling in the canyons of the southwest, and it is a dream over rocks, stream beds, sand, and yes, snow. I just wish it had a V8, so my next one will be an ML500. Mercedes did it all correctly when they started with this car in 1997....read morehide

Mercedes has the worst customer service in the car industry. So many quality issues which should be recall; but big name Mercedes no one wants to do it. I think Gov should
Do something. Even you have the same problem 10 times; Mercedes does not care.

This is the SUV I had wanted for over 1 and half years. I finally got it... and let me tell you, it's worth it. Sure there are what seems like an infinite number of utes out there, but really think about this. In the moring when you wake up, what car do you want to see every day. That's right, Honda is just a Honda, Ford, do we really want to go there. And for you Japanese lovers, does compromise feel good. I tried Lexus, Land Rover, and even VW. I must agree, the VW was very nice, the Lexus was still out to lunch as far as customer service and why the big price tag for a Johny come lately.
