Car is not as fast as people ars saying or they have no clue. Only has 236hp at best to the wheels and weighs 3500 plus lbs. Car when it comes to perfomance is a complete dog, can't get out of its own way. For the money its hands down the value out there besides the honda S2000(SMALL CAR).uNDER 10,000 YOU Can fix all these issues and have the best car out there....read morehide

This is truly one of the best cars that I have ever owned. I bought an 03 silver touring and I love it. I have 22k miles on no issues. If you love speed, style, quality, and affordable price. This is the car for you. I have read the common issues that people have and I must say I have not had the same experience fortuneately.
You know the car has limited space, may ride slightly rough, but it's a sports car and not too many sports car ride like Cadillacs for around $30k. I put it up their with my Acura Integra even though they accomplish totally different things. That car gave me "no" problems and I anticipate my Z doing the same. I have owned two Z28's, a Mustang GT, Fiero, Integra, and a Ford 150. This is the best designed vehicle of the bunch. It is very tight and no rattlling in the interior other than the passenger seat belt but Nissan obviously knew about it and that is why they put the little holder on the side panel for the seatbelt so it wouldn't rattle. It's details like that, which impress me....read morehide

I work as a sales manager for a Subaru dealer and bought this car NOT an STi. The Z is much nicer looking, has a better ride and is more comfortable. Two bad its not AWD!

When I first bought my Z, I couldn't help but fall in love with the appearance and the way it handled. It hugs turns really well and the acceleration and 287 hp V6 cant' be matched for the price I paied.
However, things started to go wrong at about 9,000 miles. There is a flaw with the front end alignment that causes very abnormal wear on the front tires. This isn't any normal wear you'd experience with a sports car. This wear is so bad that the insides of both tires are practically gone. Because of this issue, the road noise is unbearable and ruins the driving experience. It is also potentially dangerous since I'm losing traction in the front tires.
Nissan accepts responsibility for this issue on the '03 models, but the company WILL NOT hear complaints from '04 owners like myself. They claim that this is not their problem and that I have to pay for all the expenses myself. To make matters worse, Nissan's consumer affairs division is easily one of the rudest and lathargic customer service groups I've ever dealt with. They never return calls and are constantly hostile over the phone.
I've read reports online that even if the dealership re-adjusts your alignment and replaces your tires, the problem will re-occur after 10,000 miles.
Unless you're willing to spend $500+ each year on new tires and re-alignment, I suggest buying something else. It's a shame that a car with a legacy such as the Z can be plagued with such problems....read morehide

I enjoy the car very much. Great power, looks and racing for the money. I can't image anyone owning a Crossfire while their are Z's out there!

Just bought an 2005 and it drives great. Not the right car for someone who needs trunk space or a glove box for that matter. This is a fun car to drive and a fantastic value.

I bought this car 4 moths ago, paid 34k. tires worn out after 11000 miles, bad squeks and rattles, car is sexy looking but poor build quality, I should have got a mazda rx-8, little less power, but better ride and much better interior.

For the money, this car is well worth any other cars. This includes bmw, audi, porsche, which you have to shell out extra cash. Definetly worth the value.

This car (along with the especially blatant Infinity model) is a direct copy of the Audi TT. While the Nissan and Infinity 35 or whatever it's called are good drivers and sports cars, the design is 1.Not inspired by anything other than stealing the TT design, and 2. Even so, it still isn't as good as the original sleek Audi look. Besides, Audi (and Infinity, to a lesser degree) are luxury cars, while the Nissan 350Z (or anything by Nissan) is certainly not a rival to BMW, Audi, or the like....read morehide
