I got the crew cab with leather 4 months ago and so far no problems. Love the room and got a steal on it.

It's been back to the dealer 6 times in 1 1/2 months. They keep changing parts but nothing gets better. Their customer service rep wanted to give me a free oil change for my troubles. I'm just going to trade it for a Ford.

I have had my new Silverado for a little over three weeks now. Overall, I like it very, very much. The price was fantastic given what I got for the money. The truck looks and rides great (mostly). It is a bit bouncy on rough pavement though. I have been averaging about 14.5 MPG around town. I haven't taken it out on the highway, yet, to get an MPG comparison in that regard. Some minor fit and finish issues: 1) The driver side door is slightly out of align with respect to the door behind it (maybe an eighth-inch or so). 2) The front of the bed with respect to the back of the cab is not completely centered (off by about a quarter-inch from driver side versus passenger side). I really didn't want the satellite radio when I got it, but most of the new trucks at the dealership have it. I drove the truck and listened to the XM radio for an hour or so the day I drove it off the lot, and now I can say that I will definitely be subscribing to it once my three-month trial expires. I have the 5.3L 295hp V8 engine, and I have found that the truck is quite peppy when I want it to be. Also, the quietness of the interior when cruising down the road is very impressive. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy another one; especially at the GMS pricing, which is still taking place for another week or so. Again, a very nice truck overall for the money spent....read morehide

I just bought one and I love it. I have a job that takes me off road from time to time and it's good to know I have a truck I can depend on to get me through, when I wander off the beaten path. It handles very well for a full size truck, and the ride is surprisingly smoothe considering its size. I can't tell you how much I love the fuel economy versus other brands' full size trucks. I also really like the space of a crew cab so when the day my wife and I have kids I won't have to buy a minivan. The fold down rear seats also create a lot more room in the back than other trucks that I saw or owned which gives the Silverado even more versatility. The crew cab is like buying a truck/SUV without actually buying an Avalanche. If you have the means, I highly recommend this vehicle. Plus, Chevy's hold resale value really well which will be nice when that day in the far, far future comes and I have to trade in this beauty for a new Z-71....read morehide

I really like the looks of the Z71 I got Sport Metallic Red more like a maroon color. The truck has lots of cup holders, a nice glove compartment. Chevy is giving great deals right now so the price was good.

I love my Z71 overall, but the only complaint that I have is that when the truck reaches speeds between 45 and 50 there tends to be a vibration near the back of the truck. It seems like it does this when the truck goes into overdrive. I've taken it to the dealer several times but they seem to have no solution!!! Other than this I very much enjoy my 2005 Z71....read morehide

Driving is what I do in construction sales, I am in trucks 16 hours a day, thousands of miles a month. I need to get into my truck, need reliable performance, comfort, and style for my clients and myself.
The Ride is solid, wheel hop can occur if it's on a curve on uneven pavement, but corrects it's self quickly. Good gas milage for a 5.3 liter motor and 4 speed automatic transmission with trailer gearing for hills.
This brand does not look like other mfg.
Range of colors, I have not driven Red for 25 years, good color GM.
I drive the 2WD, 4 door, crew cab, good cup holder in rear between the seats and acts like arm rest too....read morehide

Well I test drove one about three weeks ago in a parking lot and fell in love with it. It is one of the smoothest riding trucks in the world. The crew cab option is so cool. Ever since Ford came out with the supercrew I have owned those and now that Chevy has a 1500 model I went and bought three of them in the same day. I thought they were going to just sell out the first day and never make them again. But that didnt happen....read morehide

LS 4x4: Nice looking, great drive and ride. I had a 2000 Toyota Tundra that was very nimble and quick, but you could not tow much with it, not because of lack of power, but the truck was too light. Chevy is bigger with more room and better ride, but throttle must be to the floor to get the big truck going. I love the ride and the room, but handles like a tank....read morehide
