Purchased As Used
I have never owned such a FUN FUN FUN car!! I cruised many beaches of Oahu with my convertible. For a woman sometimes driving alone, being able to check out the beaches and the stars at night from my car...can't beat it. I had a camera installed on the rear license plate and that seems to help a lot with the blind spots. That was the first thing I did when I bought it. I also had a new stereo and surround speakers and subwoofer, extra power supplies n such put in, along with a GPS and dvd player with a game system installed (no, I don't watch movies and drive). I FULLY enjoy my car and anyone who rides in it wants it....the stereo ROCKS, the car rides like a dream!! What more can I say? I've never driven it in the snow, but I'm hoping it handles better than in the rain....read morehide

Bought this car used with 16,000 miles. Touring model with turbo engine. Very fun to drive, sold my 2002 Pt to buy this one. Great top up and down features( ie: windows automatically rolldown). Sleek body, similar lines to classic PT. The mileage does not meet Chryslers est for city. But took a 300 mile road trip and did very well, even along the north part of Hwy 1 in Calif the mileage was remarkable at times. I use the cruise control on open freeway and just as smooth as silk....read morehide

We purchased a 2005 Dream Cruiser convertible in Jamestown, NY, where we have a second home, in November, and although we haven't driven it very much it has exceeded our expectations. Let's get this straight...this is my wife's car. She wanted a convertible and she liked the way the Dream Cruiser fit her. She is 5 feet tall, and many cars are not comfortable for her. She also like the color, and there you have it...we bought the car. As for me, I appreciated it's handling and overall spaciousness (for a convertible). After a while, I managed to get my hands on the wheel, and I was really surprised with the performance. I love the steering feel, the brakes, and the ACCELERATION! This isn't a chic car, this is a serious piece of machinery. My wife loves it more every day, and is really having a good time. Because of some freaky warm weather in November, she has had the top down several times and can't wait for summer!...read morehide

After many miles and much enjoyment in our Miata it is great to be able to take the Grandkids with us. Nothing but positive comments.

i love this car. i've named her Lit'l Lulu. she's a red GT with taupe leather and a taupe top. this car is **A BLAST** to drive. so many people comment on her at stoplights, in parking lots, etc. everyone loves the car.
i just drove on an 800 mile trip with my 81 year young mother. she LOVES the car. she kept commenting on how fun and comfortable the car was. the PT provided excellent acceleration passing 18 wheelers and cars, alike. we felt very safe. the stereo was hard to hear, however, when we were going over 70 mph. we had to turn the volume up at higher speeds.
the car is so smooth. i have to watch the speedometer sometimes because it's easy to be unaware of how fast i'm going because of the PT's effortless acceleration.
i looked at the speedometer and i was going 95 one time (oops!). there's a great sense of safety and lots of visibility in being higher off the ground than normal cars. there's also lots of safety with the roll-bar and six air bags. (the roll-bar also cuts down on wind noise when the top is down.)
the insurance on this car is lower than i thought it would be, considering. the PT convertible is solid as a rock. i researched it and found that it got a "consumer report's" *recommended best buy rating*. also, for the last 4 years, the PT Cruiser had gotten excellents in all the consumer report's tested categories.... not bad!!
i like the nice interior lighting (there are even 2 lights in the roll-bar), matching interior/exterior dash trim, and the comfortable leather seats. the up/down on the convertible top is one-handed and is the easiest i've even seen. the windows coordinate with this function on their own -- very cool and useful... the whole manuever takes 9 seconds. the interior has lots and lots of room.
i'm SOOO glad i didn't get the miata (too small) or the mustang convertible (too macho) that i was thinking about.
Lit'l Lulu is just right....read morehide

Just bought the car a week ago. Bought it for the fun value and was looking for better gas mileage. I was very pleasantly surprised at the way it drives and rides. Handles very good, great acceleration, now have to watch for radar traps. Two adults can sit comfortably in the back. Just a great little car....read morehide

I purchased a 2005 PT cruiser GT convertible 5 wks. ago and have driven 2000 miles. This car runs like a jackrabbit and can stop on a dime. Fit and finish are good and access is excellent due to long doors and upright seating. The top is well made and solid with glass rear window and defroster a plus. The rear window could be larger though, because rear visibility is compromised. Be prepared to attract some attention with this car. I commute 60 miles and am smiling all the way....read morehide
