I own a 2002 Excursion Limited 4 X 4, it is both the beauty and beast. I love the interior room as well as the overall drive of the truck. I previously owned a Chevy Tahoe, just a toy in a man's world. Once you've driven an Excursion there is no turning back to those "minature SUV's." It even fits into my garage with room to spare....read morehide

We got our Excursion 4x4 XLT 2005, because we needed more room for our travel basketball team! It's black which makes a great impact when seen driving down the street! We travel very comfortably with my three sons and three more friends. We added our own Alpine DVD stereo system w/ flip out screen and Valor 10" flip down DVD and extra amp and equalizer,speakers...sounds great!! Everyone in the family is tall except for me and we all fit perfect and with great comfort! We looked at the Hummer it was very small and has a rough ride. I don't understand why Ford stopped making the Axcursion it just left the door open for GMC and Chevy to make more money. Everyone wants comfort and room and they aren't worried about the gas prices. I love the classy ride and impact it makes when people see you driving the Excursion...it's like WOW!!! I have people in Hummers, Tahoes and Suburbans looking at my Excursion!! Sometimes they even say " Nice SUV!" I think that's why we got it, it's a fantastic Suv to drive and travel in, around town or on a family trip!!!...read morehide

The Ford Excursion is one of my most favorite vehicles that Ford has ever made. I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take the Family (and even the neighbors!) along with all the recreational equipment you can pull (up to 11,000 lbs worth). Lots of room, very comfortable seats that are easy to reconfigure. From 8 passengers with room to spare or two passenger with full size short bed truck rivaling cargo carrying capacity, you can carry almost anything. Even though it is slated as the the largest SUV, its not that hard to drive, even park. Big windows and mirrors give you plenty of visibility. Available back up sensors aid in parrallel parking. Some sensors up front would be nice. Skip the 5.4 Liter if possible. It's just not enough for this 8,000lb beast. The diesel version is optimal but costly. If not towing on a regular basis, the 6.8 Triton V10 works great. I get 12-13mpg daily average unladen and around 10 pulling an 8,000 pound travel trailer....read morehide

I love my Excursion....i used to have a Suburban 2500 4by 4..but this thing is bigger..and you know what they say..go big..or go home..i tried the Hummer..but you cant see out of those boxes..and seating for 5..cmon..My favourite thing is pulling up at a stoplight, and looking DOWN at the y men driving thier minivans..its so satisfying seeing the embarrassed expresions for thier nuetered position in life..Its too bad these things are being discontinued...i hope Ford reconsiders.....read morehide

I have a 2006 Excursion Eddie Bauer with the 6.0 Diesel. I have about 10K miles and it is awsome. On the engine I have bully dog Monitor, Programmer, Intake and Exhaust. On the body, I put in a 6.5 Lift kit, 35" Procomp Extreme, Billet Grille, Lund Trident Deflector and more... I have taken this to a Dyno and tested at 428HP at the rear wheels. Also, I am getting about 17MPG when I am not on the throttle so much. When I am on it I get about 12MPG. This truck is so much fun. I have blown Mustang's and any Rice Burner on the light. If you like Loud, Powerful and Big, than this is your vehicle....read morehide

who cares about gas mileage - if you can afford one of these vehicles you should also be able to afford the fuel, I have owned almost 25 vehicles most being a ford and around 5 vehicles ago I bought a 2001 excursion v10 that i loved and then sold it, now I just bought a 2005 limited diesel with every option because i missed my old one so much, I'll never be without an excursion again --- ford needs to put a sunroof in it, whats another $1000 when you spend 56k...read morehide

I tow a 30ft Warrior trailer. Loaded with all the toys, wieght is around 10,500 + pounds. This baby pulls it like nothing else. I have some mods - Pro-comp 4" lift, Banks Monster exhuast, AFE air intake, AirLift air bags and Super Chips programer. With the programer tuned to High Performance - the Excursion hits 568hp w/ 899ftlbs of torque. This is sick messing around town/ Just scary fast. When towing I de-tune to tow safe mode. I tow up a bunch of hills around So Cal. and it's great to blow by Dodge and Chevey's. My friend has the Chevey duramax - he pulls a 26ft warrior trailer and I pull away like he is standing still. Before I bought the Excursion, I had a F250 - I thought that was powerfull My wife wanted more room for the kids and their friends when we go on trips. My thought was SUV .... ARE YOU KIDDING. Well - I put my pride aside and got the Excursion. I'm very pleased. Although my friends still tease me about the so called station wagon I now have. I love my 568hp 899 ftlbs of torque station wagon. EAT MY DUST....read morehide

if this vehicle had the 40/20/40 split bench seats and fewer geegaws on it i would probably love it. they were so hard to find i foolishly accepted this specimen which has a lot of options which make it more difficult to operate and in my opinion, less satisfactory. the thermostatic a/c heat system is a pain. So is the power seat, which in spite of the many adjustment options, forces the driver to either grow an extra large [****] cheek on the right side, or drive leaning to the right. this due to the design of the seat bolster, which is narrower on the right side than the left. this issue may not arise for smaller statured drivers(I'm 6'3" and 265 lbs) but the reason i bought this thing was that i thought it would be as comfortable as the 2000 model super duty I traded in on it. the seat issue was not noticeable until i drove over 200 miles in one day on a trip....read morehide

This TRUCK is for every thing you do from the Family, to Work, and offroading. The truck has great leg room, great power for an SUV if you like going fast, gets good gas mileage, but the turbo dosn't kick in as fast as it should. But overall it is the best TRuck out their
