This car is a piece of junk - going to trade it and will never own another Ford. I have put this car in the shop so many times since I bought it that I had to quit counting.

I looked at most of the foreign competitors, and almost got the QX56. Thank god I did not after it was named Fortune magazine's worst car of 2005.
Mine has most options, but the two that are the best are the heated/cooled seats and the 4 point air suspension. I can't say enough about how great the suspension is. I've ridden in the model without it, and there is a big difference. It now has the ride and acoustics of an LS430. Absolutely amazing. Strange that you don't see this option more often on the dealer lots. Otherwise, all the usual kudos about this being a great family vehicle apply: extra power outlets, lots of cup holders, DVD player is great, etc....read morehide

I bought my 2006 Ford Expedition limited 4x2 two weeks ago and I am totally happy with the purchase. The leather interior is very nice. The 2nd row captain's Chairs are a must. The 3rd row power fold down seats are great no more having to take out 3rd row seat or fold it over(lock in place). The 300 Horses and 365 ft/lbs of torque come in handy.. Watch out for that LEAD foot, this suv is hungry..
I opted for the Navigation and DVD entertainment center: Both work very well; sound system sounds great. The sun roof is also very nice. The automatic air leveling suspension is great: The expedition drops 1" when it is tuned off for easier egress and automatically levels itself when towing.
Heated and cooled front seats work great. Dual climate controls come in handy. Power fold side view mirrors are also nice. There are many options that are offered and I bought them all.
All in all I got alot more SUV for my money compared to Sequioa, Armada, Tahoe, Escalade(too much $ for a smaller suv), Navigator (too much $) for same options....read morehide

we took the vehicle back to the dealer to get the power seat fixed, and they found a leak in the transmission which they replaced. but more problems followed, from another bad transmission to a blown head gasket. Vehicle was a piece of junk and was "lemonized". Buyer beware......know 5 ....that's right 5 other people who i work with who have had engine and transmission problems with there fords!...read morehide

This is the best suv on the plannet along with it's twin brother the navigator they are beautiful. The interior is awesome, roomy plus the power folding 3rd row seat are to cool, Not to mention it's 4x4 system will get through snow and mud like you wouldn't belive. It has plenty of get up and go, for those stoplight drag racers, and sounds cool doing it bt yo can hardly hear it's engine when you accelorte normally....read morehide

I brought my 2004 Eddie Bauer 4x4 Expedition last year. I was told the suspension would eventually soften up...Yeah right! It has a very bumpy ride!! Over the big bumps not a problem.. but on most city streets & freeways this trucks shakes your fillings out your teeth!!
Very uncomfortable especially on long trips! You'll be awake the whole
trip!! Now for the interior... I had to have my steering wheel replaced and a seat recovered in the rear.. the leather began to deteriorate??? No problem
Fuller Ford in San Diego has EXCELLENT Customer Service!!!
Other than the high price of gas and sad gas milage I love my Expedition!! I thinking of replacing the suspension with Air and get rid of the coilovers to solve the harsh ride....Ford this should be a after market item or basic factor installed item especially for the Eddie Bauer!!! Just like the Navigator come equipted from the factory with!!!!
Brake dust!! Doesn't take long to cover the front rims after you wash the truck??? But does affect stopping the truck just the appearance!
And inconvience of keeping them clean more often than one should!!!
Hope this helps any of you further Expedition buyers!!...read morehide

This is without a doubt the best and safest suv ive owned and I have had a few (still have a great 97 explorer 4dr/4x4 with 130K miles that is running VERY strong). This SUV is like riding a throne around and it gets many looks and raised eyes (special billet chrome/black eb with Eagle GTII's with DIP chrome wheels at 20"!) cool and heated front seats with a spectacular 6cd system that totally rocks and when the kids are into their 10" dvd/game system...mommy and I dont hear them AT all..RE:smile! All this in a VERY safe truck with many safety features (side ibeam construction; MANY airmattress's; both front AND side - and on top of that...this soccer truck can carry 9 ppl EZ'le. Thanks FORD...this is an answer to me and my wifes dreams - you will have to pry it out of my cold dead hands to get it away! Thanks again!...read morehide

This is my second Ford Expedetion, first was a 98 model.I had since then never any problems.Put 95,000 miles on it still was running wonderfully.Purchased new Expedetion because of Ford's excellent family plan,in fact so good was the plan I was able to get the Hot top of the line King Ranch. At the price that an EB or Limited would have cost. The Castano leather seats, the wood and leather steering wheel, the bold KR badging inside and out are all worth it's price. But the incusitve looks and head turns it gets are more than worth it.There is also the 7 spearker 8"subwoofer audiophile system that comes standard.AAHH but at last like all consumers wanting more for our dollar,I wasn't to thrilled that the KR didn't have not even as opt the HTD and CLD front seats. Also unless I got the navigation system the console that comes with the audiophile system looks the same as all Expedetion Trims. And this is really just nit picking, because of 19 total additional opts availble for the KR trim I have 15....read morehide
