the handles on the back of the seats that cause the seats to fold forward have broken off and had to be replaced $30.00 a piece. The main concern is that Ford needs to investigate for a possible problem with the dash gauges. My speedometer works on and off sometimes registering 65 sitting still. My friend's 05 mustang has issues with the RPM gauge and gas gauge they rarely work. I keep checking and still no recall listed. Other than the speedometer issue I love the car and hope to put lots of miles on it....read morehide

Up to today, my car has a few problems. One of them is the driver recliner that is accessed in the back has broken off. The interior doesn't look too sporty. On the radio, some of the paint came off. And a small grill on the front bumper fell off. The good things about the car is the 6 CD player, cruise control, and leather seats....read morehide

I have only had this car for a week and I've waxed it twice already.
I go in the garage just to look at it. I am 57 years old, this car brings back many fond memories of my teenage years. I have the Gt Convertible and just love the sound of it. I have many neighbours who spend a lot of time looking at it, some from afar and some close up.
When I filled her up with gas, a young girl (18 to 20) came over to me and said WOW What a Chick Magnet.I said SHH, My wifes in the car.

I am 16 and I got my mustang this past Christmas. I love it! It stands out on my high school parking lot and my popularoty has shot way up. Wherever I go it gets me there fast and furiously!!!

I have a 2oo5 V6 and love it. I drove from Va. to Ga. with NO discomfort at all. I kept having to put my speed control on because everytime I looked at the speedometer, I was doing 80 or more and I don`t drive over the speedlimit. It has power you won`t believe. It hugs corners great too. As far as resale value, I don`t plan on selling it anytime soon, so it doesn`t matter. I hope to keep it for many years !!!...read morehide

No trunk release, No light for center console

I have had my redfire Mustang since June 05. Since that time I have received at least a dozen thumbs up from passer-bys and there always seems to be someone admiring my car when it's parked (including me). This is by far the best car that I have owned, including my 2001 BMW 325 (will be mothballed). The music that comes from my stainless steel speakers is awesome. And my shaker 500 rocks too. Do yourself a favor and get the GT Premium 5 spd manual and you will never thrist for instant power again. Smooth and precise shifts are now a reality. Now I get sort of sad when I arrive at my destination because I realize that the fun is over and I have to shut it down. Thanks Ford for building a winner....read morehide

Even with the V6 this car has alot of "Get up and Go"

I´m from Portugal. We have a lot of beautiful machines in europe but the diference is, here great rides are never a people´s car. It´s not the average european that can buy a Ferrari or a Lamborghini and that´s what´s fantastic in america: almost all great myth rides thrughout history were a people´s cars, for example, the Dodge Charger, the Gto,etc. I think the Mustang was, back in the Sixties, a perfectly afordable "cool ride", that was slowly turned into a high priced sports car, due to that same sucsess, with looks that would not distinguish it from the rest of average sports cars, like before. Until now. For me, the Mustang dinasty had died with the Fast Back, but when I saw this incredible machine I said: "Now that's a Mustang. Modern, but still a Mustang".
Like the phoenix reborn from the ashes, this car is the true rebirth of the myth.

Very high HP for the buck, will get the job done, seats are comfortable and the interior is better

Pistons are crap and crack, detonation w/ aftermarket cold air intake, doesn't have forged pistons

For all the street tuners: If you want to mod this car, plan on spending 7-8K on a complete re-inforced engine overhaul before placeing a blower that would produce 12-16 psi. Also, don't do cold air intake unless you have a computer mod before it. Dynomax sound killer on this car. There are alot of upgrades performance wise on this car, but require more than backyard experiance to play with. Stock Block w/ stock pistons can hold 425 crank HP. But the Pistons must be replaced, can't stress that enough.
They are foam compressed pistons.... Ford really went cheap on this one....read morehide
