This car offers an exceptional value. I was able to get the 4dr Manual LX SE for $900 below invoice, since they are clearing the inventory for the new 06 models. Though its not as powerful as I would like, it offers a great blend of road manners, seating/cargo versatility, mpg (I'm able to get average of 34city, 38-39 hwy) and looks. The only downside is that to get the high mpg, the gearing for the 5sp is very tall. Acceleration can take longer then expected and if you really need to power for merging or passing, don't be surprised if you have to downshift 2 gears. This is a well-rounded car that performs perfect for a daily commuter/high mileage car which you don't have to pay a premium for....read morehide

Bought this car for 17,500. The special edition package is nice. I really love that the receiver has an 'audio in' jack for my mp3 player. The six speakers sound good, but could put out more sound especially when driving with all the windows down. The leather steering wheel also has a nice feel to it. When gas is $3/gallon the fuel economy comes in real handy. The acceleration is good except when trying to pass at around 70mph, which is to be expected with such a small engine. The air conditioner seems like it could put out colder air than what it does, but it gets the job done. The special edition rims look nice, but are a pain to clean due to all the design. My elbows tend to get sore when resting them on both of the arm rests while driving on trips over an hour. Very low maintainence vehicle with oil changes scheduled every 5 or 10k miles, i forget. Should maintain a high resale value that is true to honda's nature. It's nice to buy a top trim level car for under $18K. Very happy with this purchase despite some of my negative comments....read morehide

Im pretty happy with my car I bought it in August so I was thrilled with the air conditioning! This was my second new car. Now Im starting to worry how it will handle when the snow flies! I feel the car is lighter than my Ford which handles snow beautifully. I have felt the car swerve when I drive winding country roads with any speed-the same roads that are going to be covered with ice and snow. I have an alternate route which will add about 15 minutes to my drive time. I guess Ill just have to wait and see. I feel I overpaid what the car is worth. Im paying around $19,000. Why is the car listed on here for $14,000?? Guess Im slow on the up take....read morehide

Good buy if you know to haggle big bucks$. Because some times beauty and style are deceiving and you as a consumer became blinded with that beauty but the price offered to you by your salesman are jacked-up. So be careful with those salesperson. You should know what you want in your car before going to a dealer....read morehide

As other Honda does, good in fuel economy. Mine ranging in about 12 to 15 km/ltrs (city/highway).Sitting in the front seat feels more comfort than previous Civics. Trunk is spacious - unusual for sedans. The cabin also very soundless for a car in this class.
However, people in backseat will not be as comfort as the driver. And, when trying to "Underground" - usually I found it a bit slow - especially compared to my friends' Lancer 05.
Overall : Civic is good for those who needs comfort driving after a long n retiring workday. I won't advise it to people who likes to accelerate in the highway....read morehide

I drive a LOT. Need the mileage, reliability and have it in this Civic. Considered Corolla and Mazda3. The Mazda doesn't have quite the reputation for reliability that the Honda and Toyota have. Mileage is down a little for the '3', also.
No, the Civic is not a speed demon. All Honda's need RPM's to go hard. But I got it for efficiency, not to fly. Acceleration is adequate, at worst, if you consider why you buy a car like this.
My complaints of noise are minor, and expected for an economy car (heard the Mazda was quieter). Civic is not too bad.
More storage space would have been easy, although I can't really compare it to the others.
In total, this is THE car I need....read morehide

Well I just sold my 2001 EX and I must say that it was a very good car. It was very dependable, reliable, and gave me 71000 good hard miles. I am pretty hard on my cars and this honda took all that I could throw at it. I sold it to up grade to a bigger sportier sedan. The only complaints that I had were that I felt that the filler neck of the gas tank was too small because sometimes you would think that you had a full tank and it would even shoot gas out but then you relized about 30miles down the road that there was still plenty of room in that tank for more gas. For example when I had filled it as full as it would go being very carefull to fill it to the brim it would get 100 miles before the needle would move off of F and when I just let it fill on it's own I would get like 50-65. Might be a minor thing for some but became pretty annoying for me. The second complaint I had was that sometimes while shifting into reverse u would think that it was full engaged but all you would hear is a grinding sound and it would have to be pushed even further back into gear again. I took it to honda but they said there was no reason to change it and that it was a known problem. Any over all it served me very well and I am confident that the new owner will have plenty of trouble free miles......read morehide
