i own a silver 2003 Huyndai Santa Fe with 44,000 miles on it and really love it. before buying this we looked at the highlander,Escape, and CrV,the santa fe blew them out of the water . Hayward Hyndai gave us a great deal when the other dealer wanted just a set price.. . perviuosly i owned a 1992 toyota camry which lasted for a long time. The Santa Fe is definetly something i would buy again after i am finished wth this one. I would reccomentd this car to anyone even though the gas mileage could be better. i only get about 18 city and 20 highway...read morehide

After buying a North American Vehicle all my life, I realize I went with my brains and not my heart and bought a vehicle I will have for many years. My test drive with the Santa Fe brought one thing to mind....Quality. This is something you never see in a Ford, Chevy or Dodge. If you are reviewing this vehicle, take one for a test drive and I'm sure you will be sold on it....read morehide

This is my second Hyundai - first was a 2001 XG300, which was a superb vehicle for the money. My wife loves the Santa Fe - it doesn't look like the other boxes out there. The construction is vintage Toyota - tight and rattle-free, and it feels like it will stay that way for a long time. Hyundai really did their homework on this SUV - I see lots of Santa Fe's around. I asked my neighbor, a building contractor who owns a 2003 Santa Fe, what he thought of it and he replied that it was the best vehicle he has ever owned. Watch out Ford, Chrysler, and GM, for the Koreans (Hyundai and Kia) are building cars that nothing can touch for the price. Previously I was a die-hard Mopar fan, but am incredibly impressed with Hyundai's quality, price, and warranty....read morehide

Bought my Santa Fe and the tranny went out at 40,000 miles. No problem they replaced it and I drove 10 miles and the tie rod assembly broke. 50,000 needed wheel bearings, at 60,000 needed the tie rod assembly again. The fact is the Koreans still have a way to go; they give a great warranty except for the fact you have to take a vehicle into an actual Hyundai dealership which if your located in Carlsbad California could be very devastating....read morehide

Good fuel economy but Ride is too rough and Brakes sometimes clank so I would not recommend it

I was all set to buy one of these until I rented one for the final evaluation. I rented one for two days to determine if the comfort would suit me and I was extremely disappointed. The seats are so hard. If they would even offer an option to purchase cushy seats I would have jumped on it. Everything else about the car was wonderful....read morehide

I just purchased a 2005 Santa Fe I only have 800 miles on it and I am fully satisfied with the over all performance of the vehicle. I trade my cars in every 2 years for a different model. I feel that this SUV is the best so far.
