It does everything the other guys do and has class to boot. Looks great at the country club or theater. Everyone always asks " what is it", "who makes it". Perfect for two people and my wonderful Deerhound.

I loved this car. I loved the fact that me and my friends could feel safe in it and that i could easily drive it. My friends liked the idea of a cd player. Now long road trip with mom aren't so boring. I love my mother but she never says a word. I keep all my stations programed and even if i help someone else jumpstart thier car i DON'T have to reset them....read morehide

I have driven alot of cars, and I myself am partial to sub-compacts (sad considering im 6 foot 5) so of course my biggest problem with this class is leg room, well I was surprised at the 2005 Rio Cinco (ATX) I fit right in and the cinco package had every option I wanted. It also comes with an excellent 164 watt (yes you heard me) CD/AM/FM audio deck that even stock hits loud and hard. The alloy wheels are stylish and of course if you can get the Rally Blue paint, its just so sleek. Its a surprisingly smooth ride and the engine will sound a bit odd due to the Multi-Point Fuel Injection (but thats a good thing) if you really need to get acceleration out of the engine you can rev-up to around 4000 rpm and get a serious kick of power (youll never see it coming though as it sneeks up on ya) The handling is superb and holds the road like a champ. If anything this cars biggest downfall (on the automatic anyway) is uphill acceleration, however this can be compensated for by simply hitting your overdrive off switch, then no hill is an obstacle....read morehide

I have 2004 model for two years. Had to take it back to dealer twice; for tank light problem and for sterio power failure.

I love my lil Rio Cinco, it has good gas mileage and has done well so far, i mean the only problem i had was with the stick shift, but still its a fancy lil car!

Overall I have been very satisfied with my 2003 Kia Rio. But it has and does have some problems. Since I bought the car, there has been an air leak through the right front window which could not be resolved at the dealership. There were two incidences in which two tires were damaged due to potholes in the road. Other than the problems previously mentioned, I have had no problems with the car. However, given the car's good fuel economy and comfort, I would recommend this car to anyone who is looking for value in a car....read morehide

The Kia Rio is better in wagon form. It is also another one of the budget commuter cars. I would choose a ford focus wagon first.
