Never had a MB that was this economical (32+mpg on hwy) that is a great performance sedan (05 last year of the 1.8 L Supercharged). In Mars Red with the best looking wheels Mercedes has ever made (had them chromed), I get thumbs up and stares where ever I go(I just laugh knowing this is a 4 year old vehicle that I paid less than their new economy cars for). Cost of maintenance is low since you only get an "A" or "B" service every 13,000 miles or one year. Excellent MB dealership experience. Have owned 9 Mercedes and have to say this is one of my favorites!
Will drive this on over 100,000 before selling. If you can find a low mileage example out there-forget the hybrid and spend half on one of these....read morehide

55 MPH speed limit

Its been almost two years and 47K miles later, and it still makes me smile. The C230 has been a dream come true style, grace, intestinal fortitude, and easy to maintain. The only issue that I have is with the dealers maintainance dept's. It took for me to visit 3 dealers until I found a dealer with decent service. To recap the C230 its great looking, quick, and is relatively inexpensive to maintain (Don't argue do the math)....read morehide

I just purchased the C230 Kompressor Sport Sedan Wow fun to drive
and plenty of power. Great gas mpg.ALSO MY INSURANCE WENT DOWN!
I don't think you can go wrong with this choice.

Ive never had a car as terrible as the c230k sedan. This car would be wonderful if it didn't run into a problem every other week. I recently just passed my 35k warrantee and now i dont know what to do, the car is getting pricey as it runs into all these STUPID malfunctions. I would love to sell it but now i'll only get around 19-20k for it so i might as well keep it. I hope this post helped....read morehide

i bought a black coupe in march of 04 in toronto.

i still love driving it and admiring its appearance to this day. its appearance especially front end is head turning. i can say confidently that every time i drive this vehicle i get thumbs up or head swiveling my way. (i lowered the coupe as well)

however if you value engine performance than this car may not be for you. its 0-60 time of 7.6 sec is modest. its handling in turns is not up to standards set by bmw 3 series or acura rx or honda civic.

I researched this vehicle along with the A4 and 325. I must admit, I was initially a little worried about some of the reliability reviews that I read. But those concerns were quickly erased. This car is beautiful inside and out. Compliments and head turning is non-stop. Also I love that tight, vault -like german car feel. You could be doing 80mph on the highway and feel like only 40mph. The brand is still pure and has not been diluted by Chrysler in any way. The build quality is top-notch. Conclusion... 325 and A4 became way too pricey with just a few popular options. Sales department at local BMW dealership is horrible. Also those vehicles are way too common around north west PA. I am sold on MB for life!...read morehide

Maintainance cost is too high. Too many problems

I have had this car for 5 years and it has been plagued with electrical problems from day one. I just took a look the service records and I realized that i have been taking to the car to the shop almost every other month. This car is way too expensive to maintain. As I type this review, my car has been sitting at the service center for a over a week. The damage so far is around $2400. They still don't know why there is drain on the battery. On the bright side, the service department is very courteous and I have had very good experience with the people at Rocklin, CA. Make me wonder if I have a lemon on hand!!...read morehide
