Write a ReviewOnce you drive it nothing can compare and getting to my 911 is just not the same anymore, so I sold it. It makes a BMW look like a novice when it comes to German engineering. Buy used with low miles and still under factory warranty and you won't want to get out of it.

I also own a C4s, Cayenne turbo, and a Lexus GX 470... this is a touring sedan with the looks of a sports car. It's expensive... but you can't comapre it to the "Bentley"...$170k... or the Porsche... They're very different cars... I'm just lucky enough to drive them all.
Cons: Too much time in the shop for both small and big stuff... If your considering a touring sedan think about a used 500 (03) and spend 50k...and get the warranty... or test drive the new Infiniti M45 sport (50k new) IMHO...read morehide

I purchased the CL 6 about four months ago. The car is a dream to drive. The acceleration sends you to 90 mph in the blink of an eye, yet the car feels like its around 60 mph. I test drove the amg model, but the 600's v-12 is much smoother and doesnt have the feel of a muscle car like the AMG version's v-8. I have had issues with elecontronics in the car. Nothing serious, but the stereo system went haywire once, and Ive recently noticed a delay response in the automatic trunk release. Minor complaints. The car is worth is the coin, and Mercedes' service is five star....read morehide

I've had this car for almost a year and it's been great having it. A lot of attentions from ppl, especially with nice rims, the car looks totally stand out. Smooth ride

I was having a hard time deciding between this and the Bentley Continental GT. I test drove both. The Bentley has it beat in comfort but thats about it. The cl 65 is fast , real fast. This thing will eat ferraris and porsches for lunch. I really enjoy this car.

I have driven an AMG before but the smooth acceleration and quality of ride in this car is unbelievable - you have to drive it to realize. The pillarless body style of the CL, combined with a gorgeous interior makes the car not only fun but a joy to drive.
I looked at the the V12 760Li BMW, which is very nice, but it didn't compare in looks or in the smooth unleashing of torque like the CL600. It is not really a good comparision with the Porsche 911 or 911 Turbo, even though when it comes to the motor, you surely could compare the two.....read morehide

My father recently purchased a reposessed 2005 CL600 for a very reasonable price. The next day was my first day driving it and ever since every car I've driven has felt horribly underpowered. This thing is amazing. Floor the pedal and a satisfying bark of the tires along with your eyes touching your head rest lets you know you're off. The throttle response is amazing. I drag raced a Corvette ZO6 and smoked it as well as several other people who used to think their car was fast (including a guy in a Volvo 850 Turbo who I didn't realize I was racing at first, but still beat). The car is incredibly comfortable and has some really cool features like seat heaters and coolers, a power sunshade and this radar cruise control called Distronic where you set the distance to the car in front of you and it follows, all you have to do is steer. I work at a car wash when I'm not in school and I've had a chance to drive some really nice cars, but nothing yet compares including the new 6-series BMW, Dodge Vipers, Corvettes and one time a Maserati that some rich kid from USC brought in. If you can afford to buy one, or find an amazing deal like my dad did, pick one up now....read morehide

The car is big, fast, and more importantly looks and feels like it's a space capsule. You get noticed!
But.....,
In the first 13 months, the car almost spent 2 months in the shop because the electronic brake system went hey wire and melted the rear brakes and the air suspension system froze!! I had to resort to the Lemmon Law which the company is fighting me on in courts!! (can you imagine?)
If she wasn't so pretty, I would have left it on the dealer's lot!!!
Too bad...I won't buy another Benz....read morehide
