Purchased As New
WE loved this vehicle at first. BUT ofter the fan clutch, fuel sending unit, evaporator canister and u joints went bad before 60000 miles. There is also rust in the door jams and on the tailgate. Nissan is the worst company to deal with. They state since the car is out of warrenty and since we have it serviced at a private mechanic then they can garentee that the repairs were not done right. Within the first year of having it the 4x4 would not disenguage, I was told that I most likely do no know how to do it properly. I grew up driving jeeps. I they also stated that are you sure that you are turning the knob. What an insult!!!!! It was at the dealership many times and our mechanic is the one that figured it out.
BEWARE Nissan is using different fixes on vehicles. There is the proper way that will most likely last longer and the half A--- way which they are doing at the dealerships just to make sure that the repair holds until the warrenty is out. The paint is bubbling from the inside out it and it keep spreading, Nissan also does not see this as a problem. none of our cars have ever done this. WE HOPED TO GET AT LEAST 100000 OUT OF THIS CAR BUT IT WILL NEVER MAKE IT. DEALERSHIP EVEN ADMITS THERE ARE PROBLEMS AND THE PAINT IS FAULTY.
FIRST NISSAN AND WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONE AGAIN. ALREADY HAVE TALKED TO MANY PEOPLE AND THEY WILL ALSO NEVER BUY A NISSAN. SOME ARE SELLIN THE ONES THAT THEY HAVE BEFORE WARRENTY RUNS OUT....read morehide

replaced 04 Xterra and this car absolutely rocks! Tons of power and for the first time, i actually enjoy driving a vehicle. I think i'm a fan for life! Highly recommend if your looking for an off-road worthy vehicle that's fun to drive on the street. I drive off road, so i needed a vehicle that was built for it (ie: built on a truck frame) and i wanted some good power. This truck does it all and does off road probably better than any other SUV in this class. Check it out if your looking for one, you won't be disapointed....read morehide

I BOUGHT THE PATHFINDER 1 YEAR AGO--BRAKES STARTED SQUEAKING AT 2000 MILES; NOW HAVE 8000-BACKING UP AND ANY STOPS UNDER 10 MILES AN HOUR. 2 DEALERSHIPS WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. 1-800-NISSAN WON'T EITHER DESPITE REPEATED CALLS. THEY WON'T RETURN MY CALLS, AND I'VE HAD NO RESPONSE TO A LETTER I SENT THEM. SQUEAKING IS SO LOUD IT'S EMBARRASSING, AND I'M EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH NISSAN'S CUSTOMER SERVICE. ALSO REAR WINDOW AND HOOD SQUEAK PROBLEMS. WINDOW FIXED, SQUEAK NOT. WANT TO GET RID OF IT!!!...read morehide

Overall I am very impressed with the new pathfinder SE. I was originally in the market for a Toyota 4 runner, but could not find a reasonably priced 4 runner with a 3rd row seat. I needed the extra seat on occasion, and love that I can put the seats down when not needed. My family has become the brady bunch with yours, mine, and ours. We definitely needed the extra space. You cannot beat the product for the price. This is my first SUV and I am very pleased with my final choice. Nissan has out done the rest!...read morehide

Purchased 2005-1/2 new two month ago, have had no problems or issues. Have read that early 2005 models had some fit and finish issues, but were resolved in second half of model year, seems to be true, so still glad I got it, very happy with almost everything execpt second row foot-room to small for large feet....read morehide

I LOVE my Pathfinder. I had an Xterra before this and adored it too, but the big brother is definitely a nice upgrade!

Love this SUV, everything was perfect until it rained one morning and the brakes started to squeak. I mean Loud and Noisy. I was ashamed that I have just bought this new SUV and my brakes sounded like this. Going to take it in to check it out, but I don't know what will happen.

We had a 1997 Pathfinder for 9 years and it never let us down. For this reason alone, we decided to buy the 2005. We absolutely love this car. The new body style is very attractive and the interior is very sexy! I love driving around in this SUV. So does my husband (that's my only con. hehe!)...read morehide

Ok, I'm sure after reading this site and the reviews some are thinking some of us are sales people for nissan but since I purchased the truck 1st, and then found this site I already knew that all the good people were saying about this truck was completely true. I hadnt done much research like I should have 1st and had only checked out the toy 4 runner, highlander, honda pilot and of course GM's line of crap. I accidentally ran onto the pathfinder and being familiar with the armada which I had rented once I figured why not check it out. The truck was so much more than I expected. Plus once I got it home and found out about the hidden pockets and storages, and all kinds of cool other features our salesperson neglected to point out it was just a bonus to find. It handles great for its size, even surprisingly easy to park and nimble enough to dart thru wonderful vegas traffic. The ride is smooth even on mountainous speed bumps. Power is good for a v6 and a big body truck. Plus who can complain about the value.. I saw the price and thought they just hadnt included the add-in's but they were already. I cant compliment nissan enough!!!!...read morehide

My wife and I just purchased a 2005 LE in Avalanche White with the Graphite Leather interior. We spent weeks test-driving and checking out other vehicles such as the Sequoia, 4Runner, Tahoe, Yukon, Trailblazer and Murano. Out of all of the SUV's the Pathfinder combined not only great styling but also a great price! We were able to get one fully loaded for less than most other SUV's base models. From our first test drive we could tell the difference in the way it drove vs. the GMC products. Much better accelleration and handling! In fact the accleration is so good that the first day we had it my wife got a ticket for going 37 in a 25. You have to watch how quickly and easily you get up to speed...it's deceiving. Interior styling is very nice and the addition of dual zone climate control is a plus. We added on the DVD and Navigation system and are just learning how to use them. The NAV is somewhat hard to figure out but I guess it would help if I read the manual! Overall you can't beat the Pathfinder for bang for your buck......read morehide
