Good fuel economy , great wear and tear resistance , excellent warrentee , my 2nd

This is the car that I will drive into my retirement . I expect to drive it for 200,000+ miles . It is a manual transmission which I love . It is also my 2nd Saab . I love the warrentee which covers everything from windshield wipers to my drive train . After the warrentee is off I expect higher than average repair bills according to Consumer reports , however , I also expect fewer repair bills than another car with much less miles . I have found both my Saabs to be much more resistant to parking lot dings than my other cars . {Except my daughter's Saturn.} The onboard computer tells me when it is time for service or if I have a light out . I love the climate control ; my wife doe not . She needs me to start the car before she gets in . She sets the heat on her side of the car to 74 And keeps the seat heater ging full blast all the time . She likes other car's climate controls less ! People told me before I owned one , that Saab owners are a cult ! I didn't beleive it , but I am a convert ....read morehide

Some trim is cheap

If you're buying new, don't let the sticker prices scare you! With discounts it comes to a much more competetive price. The wagon is extremely spacious with the seats up, downright huge with them folded. The car is powerful with the turbo four and very economical. Front seats are incredibly comfortable and the rear is roomy enough for three. It's also easy to get in and out of. Plus, it got higher safety ratings than the Volvo. Styling, performance, speed.

Cons

Sport ride a little rough, low ground clearance and sport tires awful for snow.

Styling of the Aero wagon is great-subtle yet sleek, and I think the best looking car in any lot. The interior is understated Scandanavian as well, although some of the trim could be of higher quality materials. Climate controls could be better-dials rather than buttons, but this is minor.

This car is also very fast-deceptively so. It is very easy to find oneself traveling substantially faster than the law allows without even realizing it. The Aero cruises rock steady at 100 mph without even breathing hard. One sometimes gets a look of amazement from young folks as you blow by in (can you believe it?) a station wagon....read morehide

Smooth sporty ride (Arc model). Very confortable inside.

Breaks sqeek sometimes, dealer has not corrected.

I have had mine for 10 months now and I love it. It is very nice inside, it has a great stereo (I have the high option on this). It is a lot easier to make a decision to by this car because you do not have to full around and bargain for the options. You choose one of the three models and then the few options offered with each are just a matter of
taste more than anything else. SAAB has made a great job with these
models. My car has a sporty ride that I like (I have standard transmission) it is very responsive and quick for a wagon. A lot better ride than the Volvo Xcountry. It fits a lot inside.It has gone fine over some snow (4"). It has great pirelli tyres. A lot safer and better choice than those gas guzzler SUVs that people drive because they ar 4WD (how many times do you need 4WD?) and SUVs are not safe, bigger is not better, it is unsafer, uglier and not enviromentally friendly. This SAAB wagon is a great alternative for any SUV (or minivan), it is spacious, safer and better mpg. Not to mention again, It is sporty....read morehide

Nice ride and bright performance. smooth as silk at high speeds

Cons

Trim is sparse compared with earlier versions

Seems that GM has told Saab to take some dollars out of the car and they've done things like remove the key from the tailgate,take the insignia off the door sills, take out the weather-band radio etc etc. nitty gritty stuff. it's still a great car but it's lost some distinction
