I was surpised that this car was marketed to the 25 year olds as it is just perfect for me. It is easy to get in and out of, has a ton of headroom and the best visibility of any car I ever owned. It's hard to pay $20,000 for a boring car but it was easy to pay $15,370 for this xB with ac, floor mats, power windows, power locks, remote keyless entry, ABS, rear wiper, great stereo. It is fun to drive. You can't go wrong with Toyota. I have been buying them since 1988....read morehide

I LOVE my Solar Yellow XB. As one of only 2500 of this color, with the spoiler and extra little touches, it looks amazing. I commute about 90 miles a day and drive to Minneapolis frequently. I can do the 3.5 hours straight with no breaks and seats are so comfy I am fine when I get there. Would be nice to have cruise and I think the worst thing is cupholder placement. It is a little noisy on interstate but handles like my Nissan 200SX in the turns and for a little four banger, will get up and go enough for me. I can not say enough about my SCION and will be thrilled to see more of us out there. Although I do love being really unique........read morehide

IF I COULD TEACH MY SCION TO COOK...I WOULD MARRY HER! I drive approx 100 miles each day and I always feel refreshed after my day of driving. This vehicle has generated many conversations with strangers, all interested in the strange looking XB, and all happy with what they see. Great vehicle.

I am extremely happy with this vehicle. Just finished a trip to Alaska from the Arkansas I was very happy with the XBs handling, gas mileage and good manners. Now have 36.000 troble free miles. The XB will zip along at 75mph all days and will not fatigue the driver. I gave this vehicle Five Stars in each catergory because I believe that it deserves them. I have no doubt that this vehicle will give years of trouble free service....read morehide

I bought my scionxb yesterday and love it. My husband is 6'4" and I am 5'2" so we needed something that would accomodate both of us, the scion does. My husband can sit in the back seat with the front seat all the way back and he still has leg room..thats a novelty for him. We also needed a car that my mother in law could get into and out of easily. The scion is just the right heigth. You don't have to climb up into it and you don't have to fight to get out...the ground is right there when you step out.
I love that the speedometer is ON the dashboard and not in it. I've always had trouble seeing the speedometer in other cars because being short, the steering wheel would always block my view....read morehide

well i'm a 23 year old female and was in the market for my first new car this past august 2005, i always wanted a new beetle but found out that they fall apart easily and are being made in mexico now so that was scrapped, i wanted something different that not a lot of people have, small and with good gas mileage, i came across this little baby, i saw it at a toyota dealer and test drove it, i fell inlove, before i bought it, i went online to research it, turns out its in the top 5 most reliable compact cars in consumer reports, i needed keyless entry, cruise control and an armrest, i was going to have to order one with everything i needed, but when i went up there, they just got one in with all i needed plus some extras for $15999 2 min before somebody else was going to buy it, the dealerships in charleston sc as soon as they get them in, they get sold fast, so i was lucky, its HUGE inside, everybody who looks in it can't believe the room i even had a guy at a gas station ask me if he could look inside of it, the back seats fold down in the back so there is tons of room for cargo, its so easy to park and find in a parking lot, this a great car for young and older people because its very easy to get in and out of, and to people who think this car is ugly they are just not used to the new design, it is very modern and is all over europe and japan, this car is great, using synthetic oil i only have to change it every 5 thousand miles! the first 3 oil changes are free, plus the scion company had a promotion if you bought a 2005 scion between August 2nd and Oct 31st you would get a free gift of your choosing, i got a 500 dollar video/digital camera! i didn't even know about it until after i bought the car, plus its considered a wagon on your insurance so it makes it cheaper, this car is literally a blessing and i would recommend it to any age group...read morehide

We bought my Scion XB in April and I love it. I have a daughter who walks with crutches and before we had a Tahoe. She always had to step up to get in and usually needed help. With the Scion XB, she can get right into the back seat without any help. There is also plenty of room where she can just through her forearm crutches on the floor. I have 2 pre-teenagers and they are fighting over who will actually end up with my Green Box Car. I ordered the roof racks for it and have some kids at their school calling it a "mini-hummer". We added an armrest and cruise and a sunroof which I really love. The only thing I miss is the radio controls in the steering wheel. I cannot say enough about this car. I LOVE IT AND WILL BUY ANOTHER!!!! We are couple in our late 30's and think they need to target our age for this car, not generation X....read morehide

The fuel economy is solid (I've averaged 32.2 over the first 30,000 miles). The roominess is fun -- I've been able to transport tall people who nomally prefer driving simply because that will guarantee them the space they need for their legs. The stereo puts out plenty of good quality sound (although it does have to be run a little loud for audiobooks). The manual transmission shifts well, solidly, and with almost no slippage.
This car replaced a decade old mini-van. The only real disadvantage I've discovered is the inability to carry 4x8 sheets of plywood or to fit even a couple 2x4s in. The ride is stable, albeit a bit rough on uneven terrain. The trim (ground effect stuff) is prone to catch on even slightly lifted stuff -- assume the back bumper wants to take a scoop out of roadkill.
The road noise comes right through the body -- the engine has to race to produce power -- which also comes into the cabin.
Still, for the price, the amenities offered are great. And the car is fun....read morehide
