Sold my Mazda 6 with a V6, when i test drove a forester. The Forester turbo is truly a performance machine, it bolws by most anything on the road, even most sports cars. Brakes are too weak. Seats are excellent!

Gas Milage is not what they say it will be. Automatic doesn't always shift cleanly. Burning smell around engine after 14,000 miles. Been told it's new car smell but other new cars dont smell like that. Paint is cheap and rusts easily, high maintinence schedule that is not cheap. Dealerships are not always close and convienent. Had the car new for 5 months, nice for long road trips but does not give the sense of reliability that my Honda had....read morehide

The 2005 you are showing is overpriced. I can do better on a 2006. YOU ARE OVERPRICED and making it hard to answer this won't change that.

Probably would buy another model if this one performs as well in the future. It perfoms well and offers good gas mileage. Also has a comfortabe ride for an all wheel drive automobile.

This car/SUV/wagon (?) is a hoot to drive around town. And, it is a perfect vehicle for those who love the outdoors: it will take you nearly anywhere a sane person would like to go off-road, plus carry all the gear you will need.

We have the 5 speed manual and are very pleased. It drives like a sports car, when needed, and doesn't look like every other SUV on the road. We get between 32-35 MPG for both city and highway driving--granted that is driving sensibly and allowing plenty of time to reach our destination. It is a solid vehicle and holds the road very well. It has one of the best ground clearance for its class and the AWD is truly amazing. Subaru has adopted and implemented a tried and true method with their line of vehicles--Do One Thing And Do It Well!...read morehide

We really enjoy this vehcile. My husband had not test driven it before we bought it, Only I had. He still likes it just the same after he did drive it at home. Very comfortable. We like being a little higher than a regular sedan. It fits plenty of packages while shopping and it is just a very nice looking vehicle...read morehide

This car may look:"grocery getter" but when you drive it, it feels Sports car. The engine was created to go fast. I took mine up to 125 MPH on the open highway, in the desert and triple digits felt like 70 in my old truck. The ride is smooth and comfortable. I agree with the ads: Feel. Drive. This is a great vehicle period! We've put 25K miles on it without a single problem or complaint of any type. Very practical car that fits our lifestyle perfectly. Considering what you get for the money, it's a very good value also. The car is a pleasure to drive. The AWD is awesome.
To really appreciate this vehicle though, you need to drive it in a heavy rain. Remarkable! Reputation for long-lived reliability of Subaru was a factor in choosing this car. So far so good....read morehide

After a month of research and narrowing my search down to two vehicles, the Forrester won hands down. Very well made interior, with standard features that would be options for other vehicles and has great pickup. I previously owned a Jeep Cherokee Sport in which I loved dearly, but as each day goes by I love my Forrester more and more. It handles very well as I live in area with narrow curvy roads and many hills. The fuel economy is great compared to my old 4.0 liter vehicle, and I also got for a great price!...read morehide
