Great car for great price. Alot of standards feature that others cars in it class doesn't come with such as: sunroof, power windows, cd player, tape player, radio control on the steering wheel and lots of storage space. The 2005 Suzuki Forenza Lx is a smooth ride and family friendly. With the gas prices at the moment it is a great car to have with it Good fuel Econnomy. Its extras make it a smooth ride to have.

I bought this car in Canada which is sold as a Chevrolet Optra. I got a great deal on it as a leftover of the 2004's the dealer couldn't sell. More than likely due to the fact there was no air conditioning and a 5 speed. A brand new car with fully warranty at $11 000 Canadian funds ($8800 U.S.) is tough to beat. The vehicles ride is very smooth and has ample power for what the car is (an economy car). Gas mileage could be better, but not complaining. The pull up lever for reverse is my major beef. Really dumb idea. I have many 5 speed cars and you just slip into 5th and then down for reverse. Unless you are careful you will grind the gears with this reverse set up. You will need snow tires if you are in that part of the country as it slides a lot in ice and snow. Awesome sound system and the 10 000 miles I have put on so far have been trouble free. For value for the $ this is tough to beat, including all the Korean manufacturers (which is where this car is built). As the Suzuki it gets a great warranty, but as a Chevy it's just the 3 year 60 000 mile, which I noted to my dealership when I turned down the extended warranty. If Suzuki will offer 100 000 miles no need to upgrade warranty coverage if you are buying the Optra in Canada....read morehide

I love my car. I think that the best feature, without a doubt, is the Suzuki standard powertrain warranty. I'm at 6,000 miles, and have had no issues with the car as of yet. I like the car's handling in curves and in rain, and after lots of shopping, found that you can't beat an 8 speaker sound system and side impact air bags at the price Suzuki offers. I find the back seat to be roomy for the chasse of the car, moreso than the Civic or the Corolla.

I feel that Suzuki could offer more exterior colors. I also hate the fact that after the gas needle leaves E, the tank is pretty much a goner from that point on, but I find that all of the specs that Suzuki offers standard compared to the rest makes this car an unbeatable value. I've also noticed that the car is a little rough around the edges when shifting gears coming down a hill, or coming to a stop (I have an Automatic), but that's more pickiness on my part.

All in all, a great deal...no real complaints, and I would definitely recommend this car to anyone...the 2006 is quite a car asthetically, so check it out!...read morehide

I love my car, but I had it in the shop at 5700 miles. A computer chip needed to be updated, and the transmission wouldn't let my car go over 30mph. I had to have it towed back to the dealer. Other than that I am very happy with my car.

Buzzy Engine Noise at Higher Rpm's

This car is a great value for the money. It comes with just about every feature standard you can think of for the price...4 wheel anti-lock brakes, 8-speaker stereo with equalizer and cd player, power windows, power door locks, air conditioning with micron air filtration, seats with lumbar adjustment,etc.... I test drove both a hyundai elantra, and a kia optima before test driving this car, and I actually liked the ride and handling of this car much better. This car also comes with more features standard than the other two. I bought my Forenza a year ago, and so far no problems only been in shop for oil change and air filter change. If you are looking for a car that looks and feels much more expensive than it really is, this is your car!!...read morehide
