I love most things about this car except for the fact that we essentially paid $10,000 more for seat warmers that do not work! We are extremely dissatisfied with the seat warmer feature, they do not get hot, only slightly warm. Every other car I've been in with seat warmers the seats get hot and you have to turn the temperature back a little after having them up all the way, with the 4runner we have had the temp. up all the way and it does not significantly warm up your buns! Extremely disappointed and would not have wasted the extra money to get the Limited edition over the SR5!...read morehide

My wife loves this guzzler. Sits up high, good vision day and night, heated seats are great in winter. I've had an issue with the "klunk" that is apparently a design flow from the drive shaft.. There's a lot of stuff on Lexus sites about this flaw. Still no fix after 1 year. They tell me it's safe, so I'm still klunkin....read morehide

We have owned various Toyota trucks for over 20 years, the most recent being 2001 Tundra ext. cab v8. It was a great truck, but not enough room for our two very large dogs. We visited the Toyota dealership shopping for a 2005 Tundra with 4 full doors, but they didn't have any. Also it was sticker shock for the 4 door Limited. They had an '03 4-Runner Limited loaded with options on the showroom floor. They suggested that we take it for a ride and check it out. I almost said no, because I always said that I would never buy an suv. The only suv's that I have ridden in were domestic models (Ford, Chevy) and thought that they rode awful and were very unimpressive. But we took the 4-Runner for a ride and I was sold! My husband and I loved the 4-Runner so much that six months later we traded it in for an '05 Limited with the same options as the '03....read morehide

Traded in my 1999 Tahoe, this SUV is leaps and bounds above the Tahoe. The power is free flowing, smooth and the all-wheel drive system is sure-footed. The 4Runner has a very tight feel to it and the controls feel substantial. One great thing about the navigation system for 2005 is that it has a built-in back-up camera. My only gripe has to do with the head clearance in the entry and exit, I am not too terribly tall and have to duck to get in....read morehide

After owning a LEXUS SUV GX 470, 04., for one year, I decided and bought two new toyota's, a 05' matrix and a 05' avalon. Still have the matrix, but traded the avalon after fivemonths of ownership for a 05' toyota 4runner 4x4 limited V8. Wanted versatility, 4x4, luxury, and comfort ,quietness, room, and value all in one. A avalon doesn't have 4x4 or awd. This vehicle {4runner}does everthing well. Smooth ride, sport car handling with the Xreas adjustable sport suspension package. Tilt touch screen nav. with backup camera, JBL awesome sound system, leather heated and power seats, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, and a sit high commanding view what more could one ask for? MPG avagering 18 mostly city and over 22 highway that's very good for a V8 suv 4x4. I call it the total ultimate all in one vehicle. You have to test drive one to be a believer before you become an owner of one. There's also a vehicle information system ,outside tempature gauge ,tire pressure monitoring system, automatic headlights. Safety system: include vehicle stability control, traction control, abs, brake assist, and brake distribution assist, and variable 4x4 system. your be speechless .......read morehide

I've owned or leased 4 Toyaota $runner's and this is the most modern of them all. They kept the engineering for off-road great mechanics and still gave the creature comforts you find in many for the big American vehicles ie., Yukon, Hummer, Explorer, Navigator etc. I love my heated seats, leather trim, back-up cameras, lighted running boards, power seats (driver and passenger), automatic climate control etc., still I have air bags rear, front and sides, great supension navigation system rear towing package....read morehide

Had this vehicle for about 4 months and really starting to dislike the seating position. Feels like a race car with legs way out. Driving my wifes jeep grand cherokee suits my seating posn better. Power seems a little off compared the wifes truck, even though we got the V8, and the fuel consumption is greater for the toyota as well. Other than that has been a great car, no other complaints......read morehide

I have had (4) four Jeep Grand Cherokee's and I would not buy another one. I have had it with his overrated SUV. My 2004 which I had for only five months had such a loud noise coming in fron the left side, that it drove me nearly out of my mind. The first month, the front diferential had to be rebuilt to quiet the noise but no luck, also with the dealers to find the problem, so I got fed up and bought the 4 Runner V8 4 wheel drive.
I must say that this one of the finest cars that I have had the pleasure to drive, other then my past Cadillac prior to my Jeeps. I just can't say enough about this car,. It is so quiet at any speed, with great handeling and great sound absorbing body.
Now the only thing the Jeep has on the Toyota is the get up and go when you put you pedal to the metal from a dead stop. The Toyota is a very close second.
In conclusion -- Toyota 4x4 is a great car. Should have listened to my son years ago. Thanks Greg.
