It's about time designers change the Runner look. This new model looks younger, sexier and the ride is less rough than before.

In many words I LOVE this car, but I have a problem about the smell that comes from the car when I accelerate onto the freeway or going up a hill. Brought it to the dealer to check it out. Said everything was ok and running normally. "To get rid of the 'smell' I would have to use better gas." I use the 91 octane. What else am I to do? They said they can do nothing about it. "Some of the 4Runners have that problem and some don't." I didn't pay this much for my car to smell when driving on a daily basis. Other than that, I am a happy 4Runner owner and every day driver....read morehide

I've put 15k on my SE V6 2wd and it has not given me a bit of trouble. The V6 is plenty strong to pull small boats or trailers without even noticing them. The transmission shifts quietly and the x-reas linked shocks are worth every penny. It is a really smooth controled ride.
Gas milage is about 21/23 if you make an effort. There has been a wobble in the steering wheel at around 60mph, my friend noticed it too. The dealer, Toyota of Plano, isn't very helpful in correcting this. They want me to pay them $35 to rotate my tires every 3k; yeah right.
The Highlander is a better vehicle, so is the Pilot. I'll give it a B- overall....read morehide

Its smooth SUV that has good braking controls, I driven many truck that their brakes will not lock, but this SUV is special. You have so much room than the regular 4Runner, and even has mirrors inside the car for blind spots that you do not have to look over your shoulder which is awasome. I think this is the best 4Runner...read morehide

Bought a 2005 Sport 4x2 V6 and love it. The controls are all very easy to use, wish it had a mist lever for the wipers, just one hit and they clean, but I'm learning to deal without one. The sport suspension rides very smooth, solid feel and corners great. Plenty of room in back seat for tall person like myself. Rear cargo area has several compartments to store stuff, like the double decker system as well.
Getting 20+ mpg in the city and over 22 on the highway as well. The display center shows miles to empty, MGP, and average speed. Really like this feature due to a 60 mile round trip commute every day.
Wish it had more power outlets, only one up front and one in the cargo area.
Love how the vehicle looks. Love the sport hood scoop, running boards, and roof rack. Overall I have never been happier with any vehicle I have owned....read morehide

I got a great deal on my 4runner - $26700. Its my first SUV and its great. It drives like a towncar and has alot of power. The two things i like most about the 4Runner are the big windows and the quiet ride. I've had motorcycles before so i am always looking over my shoulder in traffic, and this SUV really bolsters my driving confidence. Its head and shoulders above other comparable mid-sized SUV's. I originally planned on the Acura MDX but the price was too high. The 4runner is a better deal plus it looks alot nicer (meaner). The 4Runner really blows the competition out of the water....read morehide
