This suv drives like a car and 4x4's like no ones business. It the best of both worlds. It feels like a Lexus in toyota clothing.

I love my 2005 Toyota 4runner Sport Edition. I bought a 4runner after having 2 Ford Explorers over the last 10 years. I was a little worried about buying a toyota, but im extremerly satisfied with my 4runner so i purchased a 2006 toyota camry SE and im also very happy

I bought my 05 4 Runner in October of 2005. After test driving the Ford Explorer and Nissan Pathfinder I took out the 4Runner. I was very impressed with the power the V-6 provided. More than enough power so skip the V-8 model unless you are doing alot of heavy towing. I think the interior has plenty of room though I think the Nissan felt more roomier. Lots of places to put things i.e. cup holders, change areas. Extra lighter outlets as well for those electronic gadgets like MP3s and sattelite. Overall I really like the way the car drives. I have had a couple of snow storms and was able to get to work without any problems. 1 hour commute in the snow isnt fun but I worry less having this machine around me as oppsed to the Grand prix i had....read morehide

I really love this truck. The 4-wheel drive system is the best I have ever driven, very smooth transition. I like this trucks stance, it's seperates it from the other SUV's. I think the V6 has excellent HP. The standard features where great, AC, power everything, sunroof (3rd row seating). I would opt out 3rd row seating (to small). I think is a smooth ride for a SUV and awesome off roading, this truck has guts....read morehide

If you are planning to buy a midsize SUV. Do yourself a favor, test drive 4Runner.

Very comfortable, smoother ride than most SUVs. Extremely satisifed with our choice. Excellent color choice, better Powertrain warranty than others in its class. Great maintenance plan being offered these days (take it to any dealer every 5,000 miles for free scheduled maintenance).

I tow a 3200 lb travel trailer with m V6 4WD 4Runner and have towed it to the beaches and the mountains with no problems. I have received many compliments on the vehicle and it deserves them.

First SUV for me after many years of Toyota & Honda sedans. I really like the vehicle but am concerned about the cost to fuel this vehicle with gas prices rising and so much uncertainty about future gas prices going even higher. Would like to see side & curtain air bags standard equipment as is now the trend.
Would like to also see a compass and inside temp readings as standard equipment but they only come as options or on Limited trim level (games for profit).
Although the upscale JBL Synthesis audio system sounds great, it is not worth the extra $800 vs my experience with standard Toyota audios systems (which are excellent).
All in all, it is a superb piece of work by Toyota which will not disappoint the discriminating and careful vehicle buyer. Between the 4runner and Honda Pilot, there are no better SUV's made period. They are both great values. 4runner is better at towing and off road. Honda is a great handling unit with slightly better MPG. 4runner has the edge in value and a long track record. Pilot has the edge in safety.
I am REALLY pleased with my choice of the 4runner, just wish I could get a little better MPG....read morehide

OMG....this is my first 4Runner and I love it, being a girl and all. I got rid of a 1999 Jeep 4x4 for this and there is no comparison. This thing rides like a Cadillac but is rugged like a Tonka truck. Very comfortable and easy to maneuver. The gas mileage is great in/out of the city. Definitely get the moon roof with this one because when you open that and put all the other windows down it is an amazing feeling. The only drawback so far are those darn controls. Once you figure out how to keep the windows from fogging up you will be good to go. This is quite roomy for passengers as well and an excellent vehicle for our black lab...she loves to hang her head out the back window. This is truly worth the money and with the Toyota name, I am sure it will last a long time. After plenty of pickups and other SUVs, you will not be sorry after you purchase this vehicle....read morehide
