in my opinon this is one of the best cars for the money. you have a sports car and luxory all in one. the 5000 dollor recaro seats feel as if they wer carved to your body...............dont listen to me. drive it you self and form you own opinion....read morehide

I've had the car for almost a year now and couldn't be more pleased with my choice. I rarely show what the car can do exept accelerating onto a highway and let me tell you, that is fun. I haven't gone over 110 and my brothers get on me about that but I won't go faster until I get a detector.
Once, my wife was driving the car and while we were coasting down hill into a stop sign, she lost the brake pedal with her foot (she moved her foot of of the brake and couldn't find it). We went flying through the stop sign which is followed by a very tight curve. I thought we were dead but she turned the wheel and amazingly the car went smoothly around the curve without the slightest bit of trouble. WOW!
The car came with summer tires which I wanted to switch for an all-season but was unable to pull that off. I drove all winter in Pittsburgh without a bit of trouble. We didn't have a lot of snow but it was always around. Even with those "slicks" it is the best winter car I've owned.
Buy one....read morehide

The 2006 S4 is my second S4, and I love it even more than the first. Living in the Northeast, there are few cars you can purchase at any price that can hold their own on the street, on the highway and on the track - as well as be able to be driven reliably in the dead of winter. The improvements to the suspension, steering ratio, exhaust note and throttle response over my 2004 model are subtle but at the same time very cool. The new body style changes echo the new exhaust growl that has people turning there heads whenever you ask the tamed beast to wake up and provide an adrenaline rush. The handling of this car truly defines 'riding on rails', while at the same time it keeps your spine intact under almost any condition. Forget the M3 from a performance as well as a style perspective. BMW makes some great machines, but they can't touch this car - hands down. The way Audi has formulated how this car 'talks' to you is truly amazing, and a step above what BMW has yet to offer. The M3 will let you feel every crack in the road, but why would you want that if you don't need it to manage the limits of the suspension ?...read morehide

I special ordered my Moro Blue S4 Cab back in October 05. The wait was long...but SO worth it! I added pretty much all available options except trim and rear seat warmers. Having owned it for 6 months, I've only seen one other on the streets in LA, and it was black...I LOVE that!
In reality, the S4 might be a hair slower than its M3 convertible counterpart, but I'll never switch. This car is understated elegance. From the beautifully piped leather interior to the "quiet" blue soft top to the gleaming alloy rims, this car looks like a nice drop-top coupe, but performs like an Indy car!!!
I went with the 6-speed manual, because paddle shifting wasn't an option with the nav system steering wheel. I'm not a fan of LA traffic, and a manual is at times a drag, but when it comes to what counts, you gotta go with it!
The soft top retracts effortlessly with the touch of a button in about 30 seconds. I can raise or lower it at most stoplights when necessary.
The V-8...well where do I start? My first car (a '68 Camaro) had one, and I'm still in love with that kind of power - the kind you just don't get from a whiny 6-banger with a turbocharger. Power all through the RPM spectrum is both awe-inspiring and dust-leaving!
With all the bells and whistels, you can expect to pay a bit more than the price listed above, but those bells and whistles are SO much fun! The nav system seemlessly integrates with my Moto Q phone (or any other bluetooth phone), and the map views are nice. There are 2 SD slots that can hold thousands of MP3s. Nice.
Anyway, not much more to say...except that I'll probably be an Audi owner for life....read morehide

I have owned several convertible sports cars but this Audi S4 is the best performing, fastest and most comfortable of them all. I thought I loved my Lexus SC400 until I drove my Audi S4. It is fun to use the tiptronic levers and even fun to just set it to the sport mode and let the car shift on its own! The gas mileage is terrible, however, it is expected having an 8 cylinder engine under the hood. This car is a lot of fun to drive...but if you are looking for an economical car, this one isn't for you!!!!...read morehide

On 04/25/06 I bought a 20051/2 S4Q.Below are the problems I've had
with the car(some ongoing-some fixable)
1.) Engine blew up @ 150 miles(towed in--"new engine")
2.) Starter went out @ 174 miles(towed in--"new starter")
3.) Icon (which is not even in the manual) and bell go off on dash
because"lights are confused"
4.) Harmonic rattle or buzzing in dash(Audi has had the dash out
three times)
5.) Binding in front end when turning
6.) Sporatic surging in transmission when stopping
7.) Car hesitates then grabs hard when acclerating from a stop.
8.) Brakes bind when backing up.
"And" more
Car hs been towed twice and taken back to dealer six times with less
than 1800 miles-to this point Audi is non responsive to take back car...read morehide

This car is a blast to drive! Performance galore (344 hp) and great handling. Whether you will encounter winter conditions in your travels or not, the quattro helps you hold the road. The new exterior styling took me a while to get used to, but it's really grown on me. Didn't like the gray front filler panel in the grille, but mine is painted body color (with the two horizontal chrome bars removed and filled) and looks great. Audi's interior design continues to be among the best in the business.
Gas mileage averages around 17-18 mph, but mine gets a pretty good workout. If you want anyone with legs to ride in the back seat, get the new S6 (420 hp)!!...read morehide

I have had eveyrthing from a Saleen Mustang to a Boxster, and I can honestly say that this is the first car that I have no reason to complain about. Always had a gripe with the other cars: Too small...too big...can't handle...only handles and can't hang at stoplights. This car has it all.

Oh hell.....I LOVE my car!
06 S4 in Brill. Black, Tiptronic Auto trans, Blk/silver Alcantara Recaro seats w/ Carbon fiber trim....I was initially going to order a Blk S4 in manual but I'm very pleased with the S4 I settled into as it was already coming to the dealership when i went in. Tiptronic and the angry S-gear is all I need to play with to feel like a part of the machine. 'Sports' gear? Are you kidding me? More like Steroid Gear...Both Unbelievable acceleration from a complete stop and ideal gearing for stop-n-go traffic. Leaving the car in (D) is also a responsive drive and serves well for everyday commuting. Cornering w/ AWD is just amazing, The weight of the S4 combined with the AWD gives the driver complete faith in the vehicle in making mid-to-high speed turns. My brakes are very good and the steering of this undercover racer is close to perfect. The car looks pure class without being showy (snobby?) as a Mercedes and has more balls than 90% of the cars on the road any given Sunday.
I've never had so much trust in a vehicle, you can feel its capabilities in a single drive of the S4. Driving the S4 is damn near indescribable and owning one of your own is even moreso.
If youre lucky enough to afford one, get a Private jet. If not, an S4 will do just fine too. NEVER FOLLOW....read morehide
