LTZ Package is awesome ( head turner) Huge truck! lots of power for towing.

inside noise a bit loud on highway. Hard on gas but to be expected...

This truck is gorgous and turns heads all the time... I got the LTZ package which is new for 2006. It tows my 28ft trailer with ease. My 2004 Durango struggled. Its a sharp truck and even better to drive! I recommend it highly!!

I have a family of five, been through three vans and a 99 Surburban that had 150000 on it when I traded for the 04 Suburban. Dude, its a no brainer, it does not get any better than this.

Low gas mileage.

We have a 2002 and there had been so many problem which the service department of our dealer had fixed but what keeps failing is the intermediate shaft. According to the dealer they had replaced and lubricated it in 2004, about 6 months later the shaking and noise is back and everytime I bring it to the dealer they keep saying Chevy Engineers had not figured out how to fix it. Now that my warranty had run out, I had called Chevrolet main office for assistance on this problem and our patience is running out. They passed our case from one representative to another who does not answer the phone but direct calls to a full voice mail. The service person in the dealer I kept bringing this truck to, had told me that we just need to have it lubricated every 6-12 months. Another negative point is that it does not hold a good resale value because we had tried to trade it and we will lost a lot of money, which we are not ready to face. Now we are stuck with this vehicle with manufacturer's defict but Chevrolet does not stand behind there product. So far as we are concern the manufacturer should fix this problem in the engineering level, not just patching and mending the defect at the customer's expense....read morehide

The inside of my 1500 XL LT has EVERYTHING! Its super comfortable, multiple controls for temps etc.

Gas mileage is not so great, but I knew that prior to making my purchase.

I had to choose between this, and buying Hummer 2. I test drove both. I loved the feeling of being in something different like the H2, but when I drove the Suburban, there was NO question that it was much more comforatable, and had way more options, bells and whistles than the suburban. The room in the suburban is unbelievable as well. You can haul anything and everything in it. This suburban is the best SUV I have ever purchased. I have driven Durangos, Ford Trucks, Jeep Cherokees, you name it, and this SUV is my favorite by a long shot....read morehide

Tire pressure sensor malfunction.

I have owned explorers and blazers in the past and this is by far the best vehicle that I have ever owned. It is spacious and rides great and has plenty of power. My father owns a lexus suv and borrows my suburban to take trips.

This is my 3rd suburban and just love it. It drive like a car with very soft suspension. The turning radius has dramtically improved compared to older models. Plenty of horse power, the interior lay is fair not great. Overall very satisfied and would get another surbuban in a heart beat.

Off topic: I don't understand why a company that is capable of producing a SUV with this caliber along with some stunning cars(Cadillac and Corvette) is financially struggling....read morehide

Made my initial 500 mile break-in and then took the family (5) from Philadelphia to Disney. The Surburban drove like a charm and never missed a beat. Our average speed was 75 mph and our average gas mileage was between 16.5 and 17 mpg. Currently around town I am now getting 14.5 to 15 mpg.

I have not owned a GM product since 1985 but I will recommend the Cheverolet Suburban. The Fit and Finish of this vehicle is as good if not better than my 2005 Nissan Titan and miles beyond the 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 I once owned. I felt that the interior dash area was quite sterile so I instgalled a after-market wood grain kit. It turned out just fantastic.

This vehicle was purchases from Superior Chevrolet in Lawrenceville, NJ. I cannot say enough good things about this dealership and its ownership. Other Chevrolet dealerships should take lessons from the owner of Superior. Customer service is number one....read morehide

Leather seats in Arizona heat

I have the Z71 with everything, so the leather was in the package. Other than that, it is the best vehicle I have ever owned. I have used the GPS to get me to unknown addresses, it is great because if you don't use the exact path it gives you it will reconfigure it and still keep you on track. The entertainment system is the best ever for kids who get bored easily. We live a little far from town where all the stores are and the kids never complain about the drive anymore. If you have lots of kids and need room in the back, this is the perfect vehicle. I have had SUVs before where it sat 7, but there was no cargo room, the Suburban has more than plenty. Yeah you pay more in gas, but when you buy an SUV this big you should expect it. I would rather have all the room I need for my family and stuff and pay more in gas, than have to cram my kids in with no room for friends and no room for our stuff. Also, I never have to worry about renting anything for long trips, it will be perfect. It rides so smoothly & even though it is big, it is easier to manuver than you would think.
