I have a 2005 Z71 and I must say, "This has been the best Chevy I've owned in 20 years of driving.". I have had no problem taking my family of 4 and a big dog on 14 hour trips, never with any complaints of not having enough room or the kids being uncomfortable. We've filled the back and towed ATV'S for camping trips with no shortcomings on hills or bad weather. Spend the little extra on the Z71. Have not had a single problem with the truck! We also own a higher end sedan, but this is the vehicle of choice for everyone when it comes to going anywhere. Plan on buying another for my wife soon. Love this truck!!!...read morehide

the 2006 4x4 LT is my first avalanche. all my life I had chevy trucks first one was a 1960 long bed stepside(verry ugly) 4x4. this is. the formost best I have ever owned out of 20 (12 new) chevy trucks. the comfort means more now that I am 50 years old . and put alot of miles on it 37,000 a year my wife has a Lexus RX-330 AWD and the ride is as good or better and as for cabin noise the Avalanche is quieter and more user friendly with the LT seating, Bose, heated seats and head rest DVD for the grandkids i will buy it again in a heartbeat as for fuel the trip comp says 18.50 mpg but the overall miles driven and gals used is 24.24 when i took del on the truck it had 2.7 miles and now has 34,760.5 miles my commute is 108 miles a day 5 days a week. I would rather drive in my avalanche than our Lexus and my Wife would rather drive it too. infact we commute 3 days togather and once in awhile she needs a car to pick up clients and thay all say what a nice comfortable ride and how quiet the truck is. she is now talking about getting a 07 LTZ she loves it and is spoiled by the avalanche(what have I done)...read morehide

I love this car, but made in usa, i have one made in mexico and its not the same, just very expensive. My son had a bad accident and came without a scratch and also three friends were unharm. The cost of repairing the truck over $10,000. Insurance did not give total lost.

OVER ALL A VERY GOOD TRUCK. RIDES WELL AND IS VERY COMFORTABLE ON LONG TRIPS. I HAVE THE "Z-71" PKG AND "ONSTAR" AND THEY ARE WELL WORTH THE EXTRA FEW DOLLARS. FUN TO DRIVE BOTH ON AND OFF ROAD.

We owned two 2004 Avalanches and still have one of them. My husband wanted to trade mine for a Cadillac SRX. The SRX is a beautiful vehicle and very comfortable but I would still prefer my Avalanche. I feel the Avalanche is one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. I felt very comfortable driving it and did not find problems with blind spots as I have with other vehicles. I could see very well and the mirrors were perfect for backing up. I highly recommend the Avalanche and can't say enough good about it. It is the best all around vehicle ever. It transforms from being a truck that you can haul in to a beautiful and comfortable vehicle for going out to dinner and a show. I always drove and brought friends in my vechile because of its beauty, comfort and size....read morehide
