I have a 2005 Silervado W/t with tne V8 and it has 102,000 miles on it, it stillruns great. The only bad thing about the truck is the bumper supprt is not really that strong. A lady with a late 90's buick regal back into the bumper (not hard ) and bent the support, other than that the truck is great for the money. OH yea for the small V8 it can tow a decent amount but it also has good gas mileage....read morehide

Truck seems to be a great truck. Have not hauled anything with it yet. Truck does seem to have plenty of go when given the gas for a 6 cylinder.

2006 4.8L V-8, LWB WT package. Very nice truck, fairly quite on the road, smooth ride. Transmission (automatic) is one of the smoothest shifting I have ever drivin. Great value for the money! Great fuel economy! Don't feel the 285hp unless you depress the throttle enough. Then It lets you know it's there.
Rack and pinion steering feels and handles like a performance car. A nice surprise that was not expected. Engine is very neat and unclutterd. Service items are very easy to reach. Air filter is twice as large as my previous truck (2002 Dodge V10).
Fuel capicity is large and allows for long distance travel with out refueling. Very roomy interior, all controls are laid out well and easy to reach.
First Chevrolet I have owned, Been a Ford man most of the time. Some times it pays to change!...read morehide

Nice truck for work or play, not the best for looks. This is not a very powerful motor, like the 4.3 Vortec High Out Put, or 5.7 350
