a bit pricey smooth ride I like the many options I don't know if it will
perform like my toyota truck over the long run.

We bought this vehicle for my wife who didn't want a truck. She drives it all week and loves. I cant wait until weekends to drive it. It's easy to park and has a short turing radius. OVER PRICED FOR A TRUCK BUT HAS ALL KINDS OF BELLS AND WISTLES ON IT. IF YOU WANT TO BUY A HONDA CAR THAT LOOKS LIKE A PLASTIC TRUCK GO FOR IT.

I don't understand why so many are bashing this thing. No, it's not an F-150. To me F-150 = poor Ford quality, low-tech 1980's interior, extra weight and poor fuel economy. The Ridgeline satisfies the needs of what most people need in a cargo hauler without sacrificing comfort or efficiency. As for looks: who buys the boxy F-150 for its dated 1960's design?...read morehide

Bought my Ridgeline in August of 2006 and experienced very good gas mileage, 25 mpg but as the weather is cooling off mileage is suffering. Told a friend of mine, one of the things I like about the Ridgeline is that it is easy to wash, got a laugh out of that. I find that on the highway the vehicle is very stable, quiet and is not buffeted by strong winds or by transport trucks as they pass. The four wheel independed suspension and wide wheel base contribute to the ride quality, best I've ever experienced. Have always driven GMC trucks before this truck and will not go back. I must admit luggage and golf clubs will be probably the only load I will ever carry in the back but if I move any tools, topsoil, bricks etc. I will use a utility trailer. Quite often when I park the Ridgeline people come up to the truck and ask about it. After showing the features of the truck tell of the ride, show the storage features these people are quite impressed. Expect delivery soon of a Leer cap this should change the appearance of the truck this will add to the stowage room and security for luggage and other items. Am planning a vacation to Florida in April, two couples, so this should be the true test of comfort, handling and fuel economy. I expect the Ridgeline to pass with flying colours....read morehide

Also steering bolts loose, This and the bearings will take care of the thumping noise. And Honda will align the front end after the repair.

I took a risk and went against my personal rule that you never buy a first-year of production vehicle or a first-year major bodystyle change. I only took the risk because the Ridge was EXACTLY what I was looking for, and it is a Honda. Afte 8 months of ownership, I have not been disappointed. I downsized from my pickup workhorse and a car to the Ridge. It is the best of both worlds. It is the original and reigning SUT.
If you are purchasing the RTL with integrated GPS/Stereo, I would highly recommend purchasing the extended warranty for the vehicle. It will cost you @2k to replace the unit after the default warranty expires. Why not pay $1200 up front for an extra 4 years of warranty.
As a side note, my Honda Dealer's service and support has been fantastic! Certainly, a few small issues have come up. The dealer has been quick to address, fix or replace as necessary....read morehide

I have owned many trucks over the years and this one is the best. Not a single defect in 18 months an 35000 K.

We researched lots of vehicles before choosing the Ridgeline. Most of the time we need a sedan, but home projects require a truck. This is the perfect compromise. We've taken road and golf trips in style and comfort, and the in-bed trunk has been a godsend. We remodeled a rental home with the requisite trips to lumber and hardware stores. The truck feels hefty and safe, and handles beautifully. The navigation system is better than my wife's Acura's ... it's the next generation of technology, and its clarity and visibility are superior. Best vehicle I've ever owned....read morehide

Buying a new car model is a risk. I think Honda did something good when the 2007 has little changes.
