I wouldn't recommend buying a 2006 Jeep Liberty Limited Ed to anyone! My windows have fallen down into the tracks 5x and been repaired 5x . Thank God for duct tape! Chrysler has known of the faulty power window system in their Jeeps and yet, there is no recall. I have contacted the BBB, Chrysler, my dealer and the MD states attorney office. Do not buy a 2006 Jeep Liberty....read morehide

Purchased As New
I have owned several new vehicles, the big ones Cad, Linc,
Merc. Pont, Chry and I must admit the ride is not as nice as the big ones but I have enjoyed driving the Jeep I love the feel in the steering
and the height above the road. I have taken five trips that range about 800 to 1100 miles one way. I enjoy getting behind the wheel
of this auto. I have traveled 43000 miles in this jeep with no problems, I have added put new brake pads and a change of tires.
I love this Jeep!!!!...read morehide

Purchased As Used
Granted, I could get better gas mileage if I drove more like a mom and less like a Nascar wannabe, but it's hard to do in our Jeep. I was used to driving a Grand Prix and a Chevy Blazer, and our Liberty puts both to shame. I love high seats and profile of the Liberty--makes it very easy to see out of the vehicle on the interstate, and easy to navigate a dirt road without hitting any "surprises". I also love the high deck because my husband and I are both 6 feet tall, and the cargo deck and seats are the perfect height for loading groceries, kids, or ourselves into the Liberty. We bought the Liberty used, with approx 30K miles, and we've had it for two months. I am actually looking forward to winter this year....read morehide

I have a 2004 Sport and I love my Jeep!
It's a great all purpose-all season vehicle that is just the right size for city driving and won't dissapoint off road. The one complaint I have is the gas mileage (and the current price of gas but that's not Jeep's fault)

Its the bettle version of an SUV, strongly buildt and fun to drive and easier to park than a sedan (even japanese and german sedans). Im a contractor and we wanted a SUV that could take a good load of things in case something goes bad with my work truck, and after test driving all options on this segment my wife and I decided to go with the liberty because is a real SUV and not a weak crossover. We have not had problems so far but I wish the steering wheel feeling in the driveway was better. And best of all we finally agree with my wife on a car that we both like and can be used for any of our needs....read morehide

Good buy, good looks, fun to drive. Like it. However, as with another reviewer, I too am having problems with the ESP. Vehicle chokes around turns and has a slight hesitation on acceleration. Dealer says Chrysler aware of problem and awaiting a fix.....since November 2006!

Bought this Jeep for my wife, two days later it was in the shop for the ESP/BAS lights coming on and the cruise control not go off when stepping on the brake. Have had it a week and a half and it's been back to the shop 3 times for the same problem. Other than this it is a great little vehicle that my wife did enjoy....read morehide

overall, thou I like my Jeep and would purchase another one just move up in style. Once, Jeep realizes how important being gas efficient is to the enviroment, it would be the bomb.

I purchased my Jeep in 2004. I thought is was really cute and fun to drive until Hurricane Season came. When it's windy outside I don't recommend driving on the highway, b/c the wind pushes the SUV back and forth and it is very hard to handle. Also, my Jeep had issues with the accelerator. It had trouble switching geers, which is also very dangerous when trying to merge onto the highway. (especially in South Flordia) If you are thinking about purchasing a Jeep Liberty make sure it doesn't have accelerator trouble and try not to drive when it is windy outside. Also, I did not think the seats were very comfy for road trips....read morehide
