Picked up an 07 G-Spyder in Grigio Altair (Silver) this May.

A joy to drive..... awesome acceleration, handling and grip (esp in poor conditions via AWD). Best design on the road in my view - a work of art. Active exhaust is great in that it stays quiet under 3500rpm (no different than any other car cruising) but stomp on the gas and it just blares F1 style (can hear it a city block away). Interior fit and finishings unsurpassed. Asides from the AWD factor and interior quality, another big plus over the Ferrari F430 is that is has a front lifting system which avoids scrapes and damage to the undercarriage. Easily use it as a daily driver with this feature. Ongoing maintenance costs (I've heard) are much lower than the F430.

What could be improved?

E-Gear: Shift times still seem a bit slow. This needs Audi's DSG system. Also I'd like to have the paddles affixed to the steering wheel (not the column). The windshield wiper knob is located so close to the paddle that when you're shifting gears in an elongated turn, you're going to end up hitting the wrong lever.

Clutch: Can't feather the throttle in first gear or else you'll eat it up within 3000 miles. Not a big deal if you drive distances but don't ever take it anywhere where there could be a traffic jam. You can literally hear the car dying.

Minor quibbles:

Cupholder: I know we're talking about an exotic, but geesh, it needs 2 cupholders, not one. And getting just the one cupholder shoudn't be an option.

Luggage Space: Almost no storage space under the hood, which prevents this from being used as an over-nighter or on roadtrips.

Rear-view camera: Alot of electronics for quite a simple task. I'd much rather have park-tronic sensors for backing up

CD-changer: A 6-CD changer comes standard and not only does it take up space and weight, it's antiquated technology. Get rid of it, replace it with a single CD tra and make an I-pod jack, USB and MP3 compatibility standard.

Clear engine bonnet: Like on the F430 spyder, should be able to have a clear engine bonnet on the back so you can see the engine.

Sexy, fast, nice and uique color choices and great value compare to Ferrari. love it love it love it. Got to have the spyder or nothing.

A fantastic vehicle. I can not wait to see what happens in the future now that Porsche owns 30% Audi/VW(Bentley, Lambo, Bugatti) There will be some great innovations coming down the pike. Watch out Fiat/Ferrari!

Price is a little over.

The car has an amazing exterior. The car also runs very fast and well. You feel as if you are driving on the floor. It is a great car.

The price is high but, at least, it's reasonable. It doesn't has "scissor doors".

This is one of my dream cars, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.

Although performance is lower than that of the Murcielago, it is still very high, and the Gallardo has much better rearward visibility and, according to customers, is more maneuverable and tractable in low-speed traffic, making the Gallardo a more practical car to drive. It is also much more practical to use in bad weather than many other supercars, thanks to rear-biased all-wheel drive. Although corporate owner Audi is renowned for its Quattro AWD system, Lamborghini uses a system of its own.
The disappointed thing for Lamborghini fans is that it doesn't have "scissor doors".
