Purchased As New
bought my GT 06 in Feb 06 with all the options. It is now Mar 09. I still love my car.
The good....It looks great and everyone agrees. I love the performance and sound of the car. I like the sound system too though I did not buy that option on purpose. I love that the radio controls are on the back of the steering wheel so you still have that sleek look on the steering wheel. The interior dash look is great. I love the alloy pedals, gas cover, and sporty extras. Gas mileage is good for what it is.
The bad...Blind spot. No back seat room. The side mirrors could be forward more though not much of an issue. The lady is right about no room for your purse...though I make do. The premium gas with the V6 mileage was not fun when gas went to over $4 a gallon. I did have a minor chip in the paint in between the windshield and the roof and Mitsubishi more or less fixed it with touch up paint. I do have a problem keeping my car aligned but that could be due to the fact that I beleive cars should be driven....and I do drive everywhere....and every which way.
I had fun with my car and now am looking for a 4 door sedan (though sporty) that is higher up for my aging body to get in and out of....but I love the rest of my car so much that I am having trouble finding a replacement in my price range....read morehide

Everyone always comments on how nice my car is. The 2 front seats are comfortable but the backseats are tight. Drives great. I've had this car for over a year and have had absolutely no problems. Very reliable.

Bought this beautiful car in May 2006 and still am in love with it. The Sunset Pearlescent color assures you'll find it fast in a crowded parking lot. The Rockford Fosgate sound system with 6 CD changer blows everyone away. I've never heard such power in a car audio system. It sounds like I'm sitting dead center at a concert. The black leather interior with the multi colored lights and ice blue console lights wrap around you in a luxurious way. The car feels very solid without any rattles. How could you not LOVE this car??? It's the best car I've ever owned. When I'm driving it, I feel sorry for all the other drivers on the road with their mediocre looking vehicles. It's luxurious!...read morehide

Just got the GT, with the premium sports package. Bought it used with only 4,000 miles on it. Love the car. The style is so sexy and sporty. It turns heads a lot.
I'd advise anyone looking at getting this car to try and find a used one with the Premium Sports Package. Dealers will charge you $21-24,000 dollars for used ones that don't even have the sports package. A must to get the leather, moonroof, subwoofer, alloy pedals, power seat. I paid $21,000 for a used one that was totally loaded. This car brand new loaded goes for $28,700. I got the deal of a lifetime. Try to do the same for yourself. You won't regret it!
Kudos to Mitsubishi for re-designing the car. Totally different car than the 05's, no comparison. Overall, very satisfied with it. Thanks....read morehide

The performance is unbeatable, Great power, excellent handling, wonderful daily driver.and Very comfortable on trips. Absolutely beautiful car, inside and out. However, it is impossible for an adult to ride in the back seat, very small , I don't know why it even has a back seat. I am only 5'5" and I have to duck my head when in back seat, and there is no shade from the sun with it's huge hatch back window. It has a VERY BAD blind spot when backing up. Hold your breath when backing out of a busy parking lot. I'm telling you it's like backing up blind. I backed right into a lady because I couldn't see her. But the damage to my car was minimal. Sound system is second to none, I love it. Beautiful interior, but scratches VERY easily, and the scratches won't come out. Very small trunk space. This is NOT a family car, this is a sports car for one or two. As a woman, if someone is riding with me, there is no where to put my purse. It has to go to the back seat or back floor board. And it is very hard to reach when driving down the road, if you can reach it at all. There is no quick access place for cell phone or ipod. I love the sun roof, it is fabulous. I find there is alot of road noice, but the ride is perfectly smooth. This car is very fun to drive, and very fast. It handles well in the rain, and has a back glass wiper. Climate control is perfect. Heated seats are wonderful on a cold morning. I find I get good gas milage, but be aware, this car ONLY BURNS PREMIUM GAS.
We bought this car in August of 2005, HUGE MISTAKE. We paid WAY TOO MUCH for it. 31,000.00. Now the 'O7's are less that what we paid, for an '06', 5,000.00 or more less.
This is very disapointing, for now I can't sell the car, even a year & a half later. Because I owe more than a new one costs. We definately have buyers remorse, because now we want a Mustang, and I don't think the trade in will be worth it. I owe 26,000.00 and the trade in is 23,000.00 . I've had the car for sale on Autotrader for Months at 24,500.00 with NO CALLS on it. And it's a loaded GT.
If I had it to do all over again, I would not buy this car, simply because it way too exspensive, and not really practical. It's a sports car only. I will loose money on this car reguardless of what I do.
On a good note, if you can afford it, it is a great car. But you will end up keeping it for the duration of the loan, unless your rich and can afford to take a loss, so make sure it's what you want. Mitsubishis are the best backed cars in the world, and the warrenty is excellent. We have had NO Mechaincal problems at all. It's biggest down fall, is the horrible blind spot. along with the tiny uncomfortable back seat....read morehide

I am 58 years old and have owned many cars in my lifetime, both large and small. I have always had an affinity for smaller, sportier type vehicles that give you the feel of the road and joy of the driving experience. Having arthritis for quite sometime has, of necessity, forced me to give up on my true love of driving a standard shift. That was until I got behind the wheel of a brand new 2007 Eclipse GS with the Sportronic transmission. "What's this???, I thought." My wife said I had a grin from ear to ear when I realized that I basically could have my cake and eat it too. I now have what I consider to be the slickest shifting, clutchless, standard sports car that I could ever have hoped to own. Believe me, the 4 cylinder GS has plenty of pep, especially when used in the "standard" mode. This car is a hoot to drive, has a solid wide stance (plenty of hip and elbow room inside) with good cornering ability, solid braking, tight, completely rattle free body structure and an outstanding audio system. Just brought in for first oil change, so it only has 3000 miles. But so far, I could not be happier with my choice.

I bought this car in June and I've loved every minute of owning it. It's such a cool looking car with great lines, and its performance equals its looks. The interior is very comfortable and the dashboard is laid out perfectly. The blue dashboard lights give it extra styling and make night driving more fun. I've found the car to be very tight and well manufactured. And the 4 cylinder has more pep than I expected. It's very nimble and gives me plenty of hop to pass in traffic and blow it out if the mood strikes me. The better gas mileage is always welcome too. But the best part of the new Eclipse is the price, particularly when compared to other cars in its class. I wasn't initially looking to buy, more just window shopping, but when I saw the price I couldn't pass it up. So if you're wondering whether or not to buy this car, wonder no more. It's a no brainer....read morehide

I had a 2007 Model Mitsubi [****]i .. NOT good gas mileage, like the sticker said. Rough. Yes, .. it was a Spyder (convertable).. but, hey.. let's face it.. MOST young girls drive this car and IF there is a guy driving it.. SHE is sitting on the other side (she owns the car). Looks good.. but, would NOT have another one. Besides that.. road noise .. is BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The tops have had recalls, since the day we purchased it. Not a good investment.. for the cost! Trust me!!!...read morehide
