really great car for first time buyers. I bought this for my wife and she just loves it. I don't have any problems with it even though I only drive the car about once every two weeks. I put in a Fujita cold air intake and a new racing exhaust on it and now its pretty quick. Overall, it's worth the money. 1.8L Special Edition 5-spd (2005) has excellent handing is been good value for the money. This car is driven extremely hard and has experienced several mechanical failures over it's 16K miles. The throttle position sensor, flex pipe, and cataytic converter have been replaced under factory warrenty due to failure but it has never been stranded on the road. Free loaner car arranged by dealership during last repair and shuttle service has been very good. Light weight helps handling but allows hydropaning at 60MPH+ in very heavy rains. Car is often driven at triple digit speeds for extended periods and has the suprising ability to reach 130MPH with only 126HP (6500RPM in 5th). Usable power-band is wide but power drops after 6K RPM. The 6.5K redline and 7K fuel cut-off can by frustrating. Brakes could be more robust, fade occurs quicky under hard driving at high speeds. Overall 25MPG and dependability is respectable in the face of such abuse....read morehide

My Nissan Sentra is awesome. I love the 6 disc changer, and I also have a single disc deck. It is pretty cool. I get an average of 33 MPG which is awesome. It also has some pretty good pick up for when you need to get on the interstate. I call my car Dirty Sanchez because she is a pretty dirty transvestite. I love her/him/it....read morehide

Similar to another review, my motor also blew within 10 months of having the vehicle with 12000 miles on it. Once they replaced the motor, I had several transmission issues. The dealer made 4 attempts over 2 extended periods I left the vehicle with them to service and it seemed they may have finally had it right. However, a couple weeks later the transmission started having the same issues again. Before I took the car back to the dealer the transmission failed while I was on the highway. The dealership now claims that this in NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE and I have to pay to fix an issue they created. Their claim is I shifted the vehicle from 5th of 6th gear to 1st of 2nd. rear cup holders and full pump

i have a sentra 06' 1.8 w/ special edition pkg. the rear cup holders are cheap and one broke within 3 months. my other problem was that i had to get the fuel pump fixed because it was working properly. but it was under warranty :0) besides that i enjoy the sounds and the ride.

Great commuter, excellent Rockford fosgate stereo with aux input. This car was a great deal when compared to the corolla or civic. I am very happy with it.

I've had my 2002 Spec-V for about 6 months now so who knows if I wiil have the problems that others have had with theirs. Having said that I have had no problems with mine thus far. I bought mine used and other then a few minor kinks in the armor she has held together perfectly. I love the performance of the car, I've done no upgrades to the spec-v and she can still hold her own against other compact performance cars. Every gear is fun to drive but the sweet spot on the clutch is a little hard to find. Only drawback is that 1st gear is pretty much useless. Can't get to far in first before you have to quickly shift into second. I've also found that my spec-v is absolutely horrible in the snow. I have performance tires on the car but it still doesn't warrant the kind of problems I have in bad weather driving. Maybe with a set of quality snow tires that would be a different story but right now the car is dangerous in slick weather. That's probably my biggest complaint about the spec-v. Other then that I find the car fun to drive and sleek in terms of its style. I've driven other compacts such as hondas and mazdas and have found that the Nissan Sentra Spec-V is much more fun to drive and holds the same overall quality. Only time will tell if my spec-v will hold together as well as most Hondas and Toyotas....read morehide

The Looks are great and the speed it crazy.

My motor had to be replaced after 7000 miles because of a recall that was on the car when I bought it that I was never told about. The transmission started messing up after the motor was replaced then it had to be replaced and now for the second time it is being replaced. It is the biggest thing of junk I have ever owned. DO NOT BUY ONE!! Keep in mind that my car only has 17900 miles on it....read morehide
