I had the car one month when I took it through a car wash and on of the caps for the rack came off. Needless to say that I was quite embarrassed, the car still had the dealership's temporary licence plate for sobbing out loud. The carpeting isn't really carpeting its something like a felt of some sort, vaccuming is very difficult. The passenger seat is very high up so everyone seems huge in the seat, and I especially hate sitting passenger for that very reason. The arm rest is too low, which everyone seems to agree on that, so I'll move on. Plastic parts are coming off and I snap them back on. I've had the car about almost eight months at this point, and I'm over this car already. I have a baby now and the base of the carseat is supposed to be secured to metal rings. This was an important feature to me because I was expecting at the time. The only rings that I have found are in the backseat behind the driver's side, but they are supposed to be in the middle because this is the safest place in the car for children. I can't find any rings in the center of the backseat. This makes me sick. One last thing, the moon roof is over rated. While it makes the car seem a little more sporty it makes a horrible noise when driving. It sounds like Im driving with a flat tire...I don't know. I just like the way it looks. That's about all. Now I wished I had looked a little more before buying, or maybe I should have been taken by the "great on gas" angle. It's not that great on gas. One more thing, and honestly this is it, I hate how my friends and family think it looks like a wagon, or mini-van. I secretly cringe when some makes that comment....read morehide

Love my vibe! Have had it for 9 months. I'm saving on gas, it's fun to drive, looks sporty. I went from a full size van to a vibe, thought I would miss the room but I don't. The complaints about engine noise, I don't have any. Love the moon roof. Has driven great in the snow. Hard to reach in between the seats if you drop something. I would buy again for sure!...read morehide

Nothing could be finer than to be a red liner
75K on my 2003 with only synthetic oil changes Ive never had a problem. I changed the awesome summer time but noisy Dunlap 9000 tires for less noisy Yoko Avid V4s that are not scary in the snow but still aggressive. I couldnt live with less HP but this car is real, real, really yippee fun to drive and I would buy another GT. Car is roomy for all your gear, materials, and laptop on the front seat plugged into the ac converter.
The rear lift glass and back seat tie downs
genius. Coin holder and the cell phone charge outlet locations - stupid.
Roof Rack - Matrix NO Vibe YES.
0% finance Toyota NO Pontiac YES.
You can get a better highway traveler but the vibe is a great commuter and will fly around town with no mercy.
Hey give me that last 2006 GT. Its mine!

I traded off my 2003 Dakota V8 for this and so far my pocketbook says I did right...I love the fuel economy, which for me avg's 27mpg city/highway, the comfort, and the radio is pretty good for such an inexpensive vehicle. I've driven on a couple 300 mile trips and it was just fantastic. You can feel the road a little but was told that's mostly due to the Goodyear tires they come with and other tires will change that; but again, it's not annoying and the ride is smooth. The 3 main things I don't like are that the steering wheel feels too far away, the armrest is too low ((will be buying a Matrix one to replace it that is higher)), and the window armrest is a little high.Other than that, this car is a champ. Hope this helped anyone who might be interested in getting one.Oh yea, and the cargo area with the back seats down is fantastic....read morehide

Driving over 100 miles per day can sting you in the wallet, but not with this vehicle. Averaging 34 MPG overall highway and city. For a smaller car, this one takes a beating as I live on dirt roads in a rural setting. Went from a mid-size pickup truck to the '06 Vibe and was worried about hauling athletic equipment such as hockey bags and team soccer equipment, but with the fold down seating in the rear, I haven't lost any cargo capabilities. Up to date Pontiac styling compares to any of the foreign brand models in the same class. Certainly can't beat the cost!...read morehide

I bought a new 2006 vibe, I put 3000 miles on it and kept it three months, I could not stand this car, lots of road noise uncomfortable, middle arm rest to low, emergency brake in the way of coin holder, the gas mileage was the main reason I picked it, the most it got was 36 mpg. I took it everywhere trying to trade it knowing soon after purchase I had messed up, finally traded it for a 2006 impala twice the car of the vibe. Do not buy one only for the mileage, I could ride a scooter and get good mileage but comfort you will not find in the vibe, Think twice I wish I had, Second time I am paying sales tax in three months but this time for a car I like....read morehide

I have had my 06 for a couple of months and I can only say I will be a repeat buyer of this car. I just love the flexability of this car. Their is room for 4 and the ability to hall a little. Front wheel dive should be a plus this winter, and when you consider I went from 15-20 miles per galllon to 27-36, WOW what a difference. I can drive a whole week on a single tank of gas, I laugh at the gas guzzlers as I drive by the gas station. I got the GM discount with the reliability of a Toyota. The best of both worlds. Why can't GM just build all their cars like this. I heard that 07 was the last year for them, looks like I will have to purchase a Toyota the next time, come on GM, learn!!!!!...read morehide

A great little car! The GT version is very quick to get out. It averages 30 mpg around town and up to 34 on the highway. I have never used the premium fuel and have had no problems. I love my GT
