I purchased my Saleen S7 Twin Turbo about 7 months ago and overall i highly recommend this super-car..if you have the $500,000+ for it. Everytime I drive this car, I dread the sight of a speed bump and this car does not make it over them with out scraping the bottom of the side fenders. I have had this car for a little over a year, and absolutely love it. The ride is smooth and flawless. And the purr of the engine is one of the best out of all the cars that I own (and I own a lot).

Poor gas mileage. Too low and scrapes curbs.

I just got mine 2 weeks ago and I have scraped the spoiler twice already. Gas mileage is poor so I only fill up with 87 octaine to reduce fuel cost. However performance suffers and sluggish from the 87 octaine. Interior is extremely tight for a car that cost so much. And visibility in my 69 Datsun 510 is much better. Exhaust volume is too loud and attracts unwanted attention. Overall it is fun to drive....read morehide

I purchased a Saleen almost two years ago - purchased used, in New York, I traded an 97 Trans-Am Ram Air. I am the son of the owner of Hyatt Hotels and when it sits outside of the balcony I can guarantee a conversation. I honestly had no idea how much power was under this marvelous piece of science and elegance. The TA would "get up and go" as they say in the South but after taking this out on the interstate...I scared both of us. With the TA, I gave around $385k incl TTL. Best purchase I've ever made.
My two major complaints are the placement of the optionals like the info center - it displays current diagnostics of the twin turbo's operation and overall performance including MPG which might I add... on the interstate at a whopping 140mph for 30 minutes without fuel managment I averaged almost 15MPG!!! This is unheard of.
The other complaint is that the door will not lock with the engine running unless it's in 2nd gear. I couldn't find any recalls so I assume this is factory made, however, I just recently had this modded.
The interior is pristine, truly cockpit like, lots of leg room and more headroom than the viper!
If you ever have a chance to own or even drive this - do not pass the opportunity....read morehide

Well it looks like the boys over at Ford finally hit it on the nose with this car. Though I am a little less than inpressed with the outdated styling and and low slung lines, maybe they could have made it look more like Hyunday Pony of the 80's (now there was a vision!). I also had a hard time attaching the bike rack to this car as it seems the boys at Ford never thought anybody would carry a bike rack on the back (don't laugh, you might need it when the price of gas keeps rising).
I also thought the price could have been better, you sure don't get the things and trinkets you used to. Where is the 8 track? What no sunroof for the price? To say the least of those blind spots. Oh well, what is a half million dollars spent here or there? I guess my neighbors with those Harleys will be hearing ME rumbling in front of THEIR apartments!
Too bad they are not making more of them so everyone can enjoy it like I do....read morehide
