Write a ReviewI bought 2004 Sienna LE and drove couple of years without problem but 2 weeks ago, serious accident due to "sudden acceleration".
After full stop and tried to shift gear from D to P position, this car suddenly run max. speed and went over pedestrian block and ran into coffee shop. damaged building structure but no body injured...
The brakes not working effectively due to such high engine power and no airbag blown after hit building.
Police advised not to drive until complete check. I towed this car to dealer to check the problem but service adviser said that he drove and checked the car but do not see any mechnical problem. I asked him agian "are you interesed to hear about my car problem ?" but he say nerver heard this problem and have no interest... (I can see this type accident from google same Toyota Sienna)
I recommend that :
Car buyers must search "sudden acceleration" or "unintended acceleration" from google for the type of car you buy.
I do not recommend this Sienna Human killing monster to buy and Toyota is not interested in this monster machine but market share and profit.
I will sell this human killing machine but sombody may drive and have similar accident again with this car .. I feel guilty but Toyota say the car is O.K. to drive....
I can feel that Toyota car has more sudden acceleration accident from web site than Japanese H car.....read morehide

My husband and I did alot of research before buying our 2006 Toyota XLE. We almost bought a Honda, but when I saw the options available on a Toyota and the classy body style of the Toyota I realized Honda didn't hold a candle to Toyota. Honda's interiors were all dark and I felt like i was in a dungeon. We are very pleased with out Toyota minivan....read morehide

Is Toyota now trying to get #1 mini van with the most problems? If they are, they are doing a good job of it. Come on. After 7500 miles, The brakes went bad. Not only that, One day I was driving to a local school to drop my kids off, then all of a sudden, It broke down.
Is Toyota also going for worse mpg? I think they are. My Sienna got worse fuel economy than my Dodge Caravan. Ain't Toyota the fuel efficent guys? They make Dodge look like a better fuel saver than the Toyota....read morehide

this van is excellent owned my 2006 LE for a year now, have 20,000 miles on it now and it is still as smooth as the day i bought it. The power is excellent for a vehicle this size,i had enogh power to travel through steep mountain passes with a family of 5 aboard and there luggage. I always get compliaments on how comfortable the ride and seats are, and how quite it is on the inside in the city and on the highway. The V6 turns only 2300 RPM at 75MPH,compared to my previous caravan that turned 3000 at the same speeds. this van has the toyota quality and man it is a very nice car. the handling is great for such a big vehicle. Take one out for a test drive, i guarantee you will love it.
they are offering great deals on 2006 sienna because the 2007's are arriving. I got mine for $25,000 when the sticker said $31,000....read morehide

The odyssey makes this van look like garbage. Honda has obviously won over the minivan market.

We purchased the XLE AWD 11/1/06 after much research and reading reviews like this. We were hesitant because of the gas mileage issues, the tire issues, and general loudness while riding in the vehicle. I have to say after 4000 miles we are absolutely thrilled about the purchase. It rides fantastic and fits a ton of people and dogs. It is extremely versatile for mom's and all their gear plus multiple families. The gas mileage is not great but we expected it. It gets about 17.5 around town and maybe a tiny bit better on the hwy through the mountains, but not much better. The tires ride just fine and the added safety benefit of the runflat tires outweigh the short mileage warranty. I quess we will see how much mileage we actually get, then I will let you know how I feel. The vehicle rides extremely smooth, handles great, and gets around in snow just like a truck does. There is a lot of debate on these sienna's but it gets the thumbs up from us who were very skeptical from the beginning!...read morehide

Three doors make noise. It's distracting when driving; I dread getting in, so worried am I that another noise will arise. The dealer says it's the leather on the doors and that's just the way it is. Leather makes that noise; I'm just not used to leather, they say. My mom's Mercedes doesn't. My sister's Town and Country doesn't. My friend's Honda doesn't. My friend's Pontiac doesn't. Just the Toyota? I'll never by Toyota again....read morehide

Just turned 3000 miles on my Sienna. Averaging 21.7 combined mpg, so it is better than my previous van (Villager). About 1400 miles were one trip and the Sienna was very nice on the highway. Very comfortable for 8 hour trip out and back.
Ride is smooth and quiet, only thing I would like to see is a bit more power on the engine....read morehide
