In all, amazing car!
Driving is smooth, no noise, and great stearing.
The Super-handling-AWD is by far the best AWD systems available on the market.
Great handling in rain, snow, sun, anything!
GPS system is unparallel, with many points of interest and names of every park, school, mall, cemetary, and LOTS more.
Could use somemore power when you floor it, but it makes up for it at the top end.
Great breaks. Almost as good as the Mercedes-benz brembo AMG breaks.
One MAJOR downfall; NO 6th GEAR?!?!?!...read morehide

Absolutely best car for the money...in its class. This car is so well built and has many unique quality features that you expect in cars costing over 10k more.

I love my 07 RL wish it had more power, but it will still do,and the wheels i got to go,,, only Acura do not have any thing better and i dont want to add aftermarket wheels and loose the features I paid for.I drive it all the time I love it,sold my Tl because it just sat in the driveway.

I have a '07 RL with the tech package - a fine automobile by any standard of measure, and a steal when compared to similarly equipped competition. I am always puzzled that actual owners uniformly rate the RL very highly, while "professional" reviewers generally tend to give it only so-so marks. Many seem to think the car needs a V-8 engine, but I find the 300 hp V-6 delivers more than ample power, particularly since most who purchase an RL do not intend to use it for street racing. The navigation system takes a little time to learn, but I found it very comprehensive and accurate. Other owner reviews found here and elsewhere provide comprehensive commentary, so there is little I can usefully add on the lengthy list of positives. On the negative side, our "other car," an '04 Maxima SL, offers some amenities I would have expected on the far more expensive RL - easy exit with steering wheel and driver seat moving to the full up and full back position respectively, a larger trunk w/folding rear seat, electronically retractable exterior mirrors, dual sun visors, heated steering wheel. None of those are critical to my assessment of the Acura as a very competent and roadworthy luxury sedan....read morehide

Recently traded my '05 TL for an '07 RL and am completely pleased with my decision. I looked at several options in the same class as the Acura RL (Lexus, BMW, MB, Audi, Infiniti, etc.) and none could compare with the overall value of the RL -- inside and out. The more I drive it, the more I like it! It has more of a luxury than performance feel, but just enough HP to satisfy. The SH-AWD is superb. It's rated tops in safety. The voice-directed navigation and Bose stereo system is great, and there are lots of electro gadgets. I highly recommend!!!...read morehide

we traded an 05 tl for the 06 rl with tech package, after one year of ownership we are totaly OK with the vehicle, we did compare with other makes in the same class, but the rl won on most counts, we wanted all wheel drive as traveling in the states has become more difficult with more people and the weather changes.
the vehicle has been flawless, we also like the fact that they are not eveywhere and Acura does not compare it to other modles in there adds, service is reasonable and the ride (although a heavy car) is great, handling on mountain roads is also very good, we are very happy with our choice, we buy what we like not what everyone else is driving....read morehide

Owned an '05 RL and it was a terrific car. Great ergonomics, smooth yet refined ride (just the right amount of road feel) - just an all around great value. The only faults I found: Poor rear seat legroom, I never could understand the 'keyless' ignition (why not use the push button features like Lexus, Infiniti or Cadillac?) and the turning radius is 3 feet too wide (especially when compared with the competition).
The main reason I sold the car was due to its poor resale value. I saw after a year that the value of the RL dropped significantly more then a comparably equipped Lexus GS or Infiniti M35 (I wanted to cut my loss). Also, the poor sales of the RL (still can't understand why sales are so poor for such a great car) will eventually lead to lack of available parts - especially if you were to keep the car for 6...7+ years.
All in all, it was an economic decision as to why I sold the car (I bought a Lexus GS 350). Whatever faults I found with the car are minimal compared to how great a value this car is. If the economics/long term outlook of owning this car are not of concern, this is the best value in its segment by far....read morehide

I bought one of the first '05 Acura RL's. Over-all this is a magnificent machine. The cabin isn't as spacious as I would expect for a $50,000 car, and the taupe interior trim is cold and impersonal. I'm afraid that it doesn't macth up well to the '07 Infiniti M35. I'm very sensitive to impulses that come through the steering wheel , and the RL falls way behind the two BMW's I've owned for over 150,000 each. I spoke to the service manager about my feelings and he suggested that I LOWER the tire pressure. I had already done that and the handling went away, the problem worsened. As I picked my car up from being serviced, I noticed that the ride and handling were markedly improved. My tire monitoring device is erratic so I tested the tire pressure when I got home. I love HAPPY ACCIDENTS. Some technician had inadvertently put 42 psi in my front tires and 38 psi in the rear tires! So, my problem was pretty much solved. I now have my tire pressure at 39 psi in the front and 36 psi in the rear. I'd buy this car again, but I think that I'll get a better riding '07 TL....read morehide
