I also own a E46 sedan and I thought it would be hard to improve on that model but BMW has done it. The N54 engine is unbelieveably responsive. Steering can be a bit light at high speeds! MPG 24 - but worth the pain!

I have tried all rivals, take my word for it, nothing comes close! It looks stylish with the roof up, and sexy with it down - two in one! The rear seats are so handy and realistic (not for action men only). The gadgets are plentiful, but so decreet, which means the dash does not look cluttered. Nice lines throughout! Oh yes! I like the look and people staired at it. Good brake, Idrive not too impress about it. So far I got about 1200Miles. It is hard to drive compares to my Honda Civic. Make sure it works with your Blue Tooth!!

First time I have BMW over my CLK320 and S430. Hicup when starting after brake at red lights or stop, same as my MBZs. Even my Corolla has a good start without any hicup or hasitate. Fast with high speed above 60MPH. Good ride with a smooth transmission. Road noise better than CLK but not S430. I still like sedan than a sport car. May be I am too old for this. I like 208 Nissan Altima Coupe design may be have a test drive in one day....read morehide

A bit "firm" in ride and steering effort, Very complicated and technical IDrive system.

We've got about 800 miles on our made to spec '08 which we took delivery of at the end of October (in the midst of the Southern California fires!). This is our "25th Anniversary Present" to ourselves. We've owned many, many cars through these years (including everything from a '82 320i "S", Jaguars, Mercedes, Lexus, and even most recently a Rolls-Royce. We've gotten more admiring looks and "thumbs up!" with this little number than any car that has come before. On the street in Carmel, California last weekend - with lot's of very expensive iron parked near - this one (with the top down in Black with Saddle Brown interior) stopped traffic. The redesigned 3 series convertible looks great with the top up or down but the design of the rear end is lacking. The earier model looked more attractive from behind. If the top stops working in this one as it did in my 1998 323, at least I'll have a good looking hardtop.

I just recently purchase a BMW 328i here in Vilseck, Germany with all of the options that where on this car when I bought it. I purchased a demostrator model that was 3 months old and you could not ask for a smooth and quite ride with the top up.

When the top is down and your driving you get very little wind with all the windows up and the wind diffuser engaged. Heads will turn with all of the pedestrians on the streets and when you park the car, it will draw people like a magnet who want you to demonstrate the roof up and down.

This car was purchase for our 25th wedding anniversary here in Germany and this is my pleasure car.

With the top up their is no noticable inside noise, just the stereo.

I love this car. I have a 2006 535xi as well - Idrive works the same with newer features. Get the Navigation Sys with the traffic updates -- its worth it for functionality as well as the better look of the dashboard. The Ipod connection worked OK initially, but then stopped working and BMW requires extensive testing until they can replace the computer components. sometime I get a rattle noise inside and can not figure out where is from

Got my 335 conv in august so far so good I suppose is early to give you my final opinion on this car.

So far I like it alot other than the annoying rattle noise I have inside the car from time to time and worst is I can not figure out where is from.

7 years a when I got my 530 I had from time to time a rattle noise also but went away after few months so I am hoping the same is going to happen with my new 335!!

I would say is a fun car to drive - one more thing still not got used to the perfect and comfortable seat setting. I suppose i need to work on it!!...read morehide
