Transmission went out after 13,000 miles, too much money for value, poor gas milage. Would never buy one-thank goodness it is leased.

After test driving Navigators,Aspens,Mb-Gl and now this,the Escalade came out on top.I don't see how these people can hate these so much?! :( I showed them,with 0ver 4OO HP :)

CD player had to be replaced 1st day, Module went out on the liftgate , bad FM radio reception

Made too cheap ! the 3rd row seat need improvements...too heavy to remove..not enough cargo space. I wish I would have bought a Navigator...The only thing good about the Escalade is the body and the horsepower...

It is my first SUV. I owned BMD 5 series before. I love the comfort. My parent came to visit me from Germany, and they would love to have the car. I am very happy with my SUV.

The 2007 Cadillac Escalade AWD is the following:
1. Exspensive.
2. 6.2-liter V8 with 403 hp.
3. Great interior.
4. Great exterior look.
5. Built by Cadillac.

So that is the following things about CADILLAC.

Good performance, handling, & appearance.

Cons

Gas mileage but is expected. Nobody buys a large SUV for good gas mileage anyway.

There are a few minor gripes about the the truck though. 2nd & 3rd row seats do not fold flat into the floor (like the Navigator). The way the 2nd row seat is folded, some valuable cargo space is wasted. Need more storage compartments and bigger cup holders. Anyway there is no "perfect car" no matter the price. Feel safe with all the safety features such as Stabilitrack and AWD. If you plan to buy this truck, some options that are strongly recommended: Nav, 22" wheel, retractable running board. Very good car if you are willing to pay $60K to $65K. There are more expensive trucks on the market, but they are far from perfect. They lack some features that the Escalade has, and vice versa, the Escalade lack some features that others have. Great car if you want to get some attention. Anyone who rates this car 5 stars obviously hasn't had it long enough to experience all the problems with it. You need to look at JD Powers and see they only give it 2 stars for quality mechanical and i think they were being generous!

Engine and Transmission have problems

We bought a 2007 Escalade and the Engine started knocking within 2000 miles. After LOTS of persistent complaining they decided to give me another 2007 Escalade now I don't have Engine problems though the transmission has started shifting weird and sticking in gears, I pressed the Onstar button and had them run a diagnostic on the car and they came up with a P0751 Code though the dealer cant seem to find anything wrong and no codes, The car still has these issues and I would suggest if you want to buy this car look at J.D. Powers review first. Since I bought the car they have done a review of quality and only gave it a 2 star out of 5 rating, This is probably being generous! I love my Escalade!!! The body style and exterior are beautiful and sleek very eye catching and appealing. The interior is nicely designed, comfortable and roomy. It also has amazing power for a large SUV I can't tell how many speeding tickets I've already gotton oh well. Bottom line it's a great SUV. It's a gas guzzler but if you can afford to buy this SUV then you can afford the gas....read morehide

This Suv has so many things wrong with it, and it has been in the shop a dozen times for warranty issues, and we have only owned the car for 8mo. The side view mirror shakes at speeds over 35mph, rattle in the dome light, sensor windshield wipers not working, people are always flashing bright lights at me because they think mine are on when they are not, center console is not tight and cadallic says they cant fix it. The whole inside of the car is junk. Seats are hard, uncomfortable for long trips. Dont waste your money!!!!...read morehide
