I have a 2005 Monte Carlo SS and I love this car.
It is pure fun to drive. As I mentioned in the con section the gas milage is not the best for city. That is the price you pay for an SS. But get it out on the open road and Whooooooooo Weeeeeeeeeee it is pure enjoyment to drive. In the end the pluses out number the minuses....read morehide

LOVE IT! Great price for what feels like the muscle car of old.. Great on snow and ice.. Unbelieveable power.. The only draw back is there is so much torque and power from the front wheels, that when you stomp on the gas pedal, you better have both hands on the wheel... She's an ANIMAL!
Now they take it away? GM your such a TEASE!...read morehide

I have may SS for 2 years now and if you don't own one your missing out. This car is so much fun to drive, you have unbelievable power in ever gear. This is by far the best car i have ever owned. I traded in my Honda Accord for this car and I have NO regrets. This car out performs my Accord all day long. Great value for the price and outstanding performance....read morehide

I own an 06 SS for nearly 2 years and all I can say is when theiy are gone you missed out. I only change oil and drive, zero repairs on this car. My only expense was when I lost one of my keys. I use mine as a company car and drive a lot. I bought this car to save gas on the highway and traded a Z28 due to insurance. My SS Carlo handles better in curves than my Z28 ever did. The power is about the same engine minus 10hp. The options more than make up for it. The insurance dropped more than 50% after 6 months and this car hauls on the interstate. From the first day a real head turner here in Black with chrome rims. If I had the money right now I would buy a 2nd one. Chevrolet made a big mistake ending production. I get 27 mpg highway and about 16 in town due to my aggressive driving. I get 18 if I am being good. My only other consideration is the new Malibu LTZ but those are not in stock here in our area....read morehide

i absolutely love this car. it is the best car i have ever owned. Love the performance of the 325 cubic v-8 engine in this beast. I`ve added, to the car the K&N Filter Charger Kit, and also a Complete a Flowmaster dual exhaust kit, with the 40-series mufflers to this car to give, the exhaust a nice tone. I`m looking for more power from this car sometime soon, with the addition, of a different cam, an upgraded fuel system, from holley, and and also an upgrade to a header system, for the exhaust. if not sometime soon, because I`m gonna be parking this car for the winter months....read morehide

This car is definately one of ths sharpest looking 2-door cars on the highway right now. The 303 HP V8 Engine gives you plenty of power. The only thing I wish was better was the fuel economy. I get 16-17 MPG in town (rated 18) and depending on how fast you drive and the type of terrain the road is built on the highway mileage really differs. When in 4 cyclinder mode it holds true to its 27 MPG very well, in fact on 1 flat stretch of interstate going just over 70 MPH I was getting nearly 29 MPH for a couple hours. But if you are going up and down hills its in 8 cyclinder mode more and again depending on just how hilly the road is you might get anywhere from 20-26 MPG.
I didn't buy it for the fuel economy but I was expecting a little better than I was getting. I'm still very satisfied with the looks, comfort, and power under the hood though. VERY fun car to drive....read morehide

Nice ride for the price. horsepower plus the features make this a great purchase. On Star plus the phone make it nice. XM radio is a plus, sound system is nice with the build in AMP.
