17.8 in the City. 18 on the road so far. Very comfortable and extremely well appointed.

I have a '95 Suburban with 300k that is still a great comfortable and reliable ride. It was fully appointed in its day. It is amazing how many more features they offer now.

Overall nice truck had a 2003, compares to the Escalade without the extra horses,but the same interior.Nice clean ride a upgrade from the last model, quiet inside everything seems to work better in this model.I have been using the E85 gas since purchase runs smooth just burns a little faster than regular gas. Upgraded the rims from 20 inches to 26 inches rides a little rough but looks a lot better chevy did a perfect job this time around....read morehide

Presently have 20,000 miles and had it for 7 months now. No problems. Been in shop for 3 oil changes and 1 tire rotation. No other problems or issues to date. I want to call this a sleeper engine. It does not have the "get up and go" that I am accustomed to but put a 7,000 lb trailer behind it and the power comes out of no where. Has no problems towing my toys. Stereo system is unbelievable and enjoy the aux input port for ipod. Chevrolet should have some options like HID and LED lights. This is the first vehivle with reverse sensors and they are great with the limited ability to see behind you. I just wish the light in the tailgate area had a separate switch to turn on.... I will be keeping this truck for a while as there is no other truck out there that I would consider at this time. Not even the new tundra!...read morehide

I have a 2003 and getting ready to buy a 2007. My 2003 Z71 has been a pleasure to drive. It's a great work truck - so versitle. Rides great on the road as a passenger vehicle too. Has all the luxuries, yet it's a truck. I really don't know why anyone would buy anything else.

I have the 07 and it is a head turner.The paint job is sick,the color changes with the angle of the sun.I had a power roof cut in and on those warm days nothing beats the sun beaming on u and your avalanche.A great truck overall.

I just bought this on Sat the 24 of June and can't wait to dirve it. I only dirve to work and back home for the moment. I am taking 5 days off of work and we are going to drive up to San Francisco just to get the real feel of this great truck. I had a 2003 Avalanche but it does not compair to this one this has all the toys that anyone would want. It's a LT3 but has everything a LTZ has but I did not pay the LTZ price I saved about 1500.00. My boys 10 and 12 love this one so much so that they can't wait for it to be handed down. Well now I just need the open road to really run this great looking and great running truck....read morehide
