Had to take it in three times to the dealership, and still don't know what the problem was. Stalled while backing up and wouldn't stop when I stepped on the brakes.

Have had my Aspen for a little over two weeks and I love this truck! One of the neatest things about this truck is it's ability to turn heads. Although being low, if not last, on my list of things to accomplish when buying a new vehicle, it is rather nice to have that "look-at-me" feeling about your vehicle. I believe that this turck turns more heads than Escalades and Land Rovers. Although the Aspen is no substitute for either of these status-symbol trucks, I found my Aspen, fully loaded, late in the 07 model year for about $10K off MSRP, that's a tricked-out truck for a little north of $35 grand. All things considered, I'll accept the few areas where the Aspen falls short of it's more revered competitors.
For instance, The Navigation System.
-Why is this thing not a touch screen and couldn't Chrysler have found a better control than their little dial for selection? It takes several minutes to enter a new address, unacceptable!
The Front Seats.
-My friend has a Dodge Ram 1500 with softer and more supportive seats than are available in the Aspen. WHY SO MOPAR?
Second Row Legroom
-I accept that this is not a full size vehicle, just a very large mid-size ute. That said, I should be estatic that a third row is even available. However, why should the third row have nearly as much leg room as the second-seat buckets? The second row should sit an inch or two deeper in the cabin, no one really needs a spacious third row anyhow, or if they do, buy a Suburban or an extended van, or a school bus. The second row will get regular use from my golfing buddies, clients, etc. and I wish it would've offered more room.
Beyond these minor gripes, this is a great truck. With sales being a bit slow on this ute, dealers seem to be more willing to help move these models than other SUVs in the Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep family. If one compares this truck to other vehicles in it's price range; this may be one of the best bargins out there. Although the exterior may be as attractive, if not more, than the Cadillac's, Land Rovers, Mercedes, of the world, it's not in the same class. But then again, Chrysler isn't any of these names. Besides, where else can you find a large SUV, with 20" wheels, leather, moon roof, navigation, sattelite, and a V8 for well under $40 grand?
I've got the best "bargin" in town....read morehide

This is the best SUV ever driven. I have the cool vanilla fully loaded with 20 inch rims. The vehicle suspension is remarkable and i get people asking me what kind of vehicle it is. Everyday is a different story. I was so surprised when i pulled infront of a traffic light and a street begger approached me thinking he was going to ask me for some change but to my surprise he said" sir, this is a nice truck"and walked way. I was so amazed. And to make matter worse, I installed a chrome double bar fender vents on both sides and go figure. The truck looks like a million dollar SUV. I always look forward to driving every day. This is the best Full size SUV in it's class period. It makes the escalade seems obsolete because i get all the attention everyday and everyody wants to know how it drives. If you enjoy LOTS of attention and have a sense of sophistication then it will be in your best interest to get the Aspen if you looking for an SUV with class and affordability. My Aspen rocks my world!...read morehide

I never owned a car that made people stare before. I laugh all the way to the bank thinking about Navigator and Escalade owners who paid 10 to 15 grand more. It's got all that lux and a optional DVD screen that is huge on limited models.

We drove, the Toyota Sequoia, Chevy Tahoe, Ford Explorer, and Expedition. They didn't hold a candle in comfort, peformance or overall smooth ride. The Toyota came the closest, but you didn't get nearly as many options or space for the money. I had heard and read about people complaining about the gas milage, but The first day I bought it, I had to drive it from Hobbs, to Clovis New Mexico home from the dealer, and I got 20.1 MPG right off the show room floor. If you are looking for better than that in a full size SUV, you are looking for the wrong vehicle. After all it is a 5.7 litre with over 300HP. It's going to use more gas than your mini van. The latest bonus is, it has a lifetime warranty on the powertrain....read morehide

I love my new 2007 Chrysler Aspen 4x4 fully loaded Hemi edition etc. People always ask me what kind of car is it and my neighbors even said hey you better garage that vehicle its so nice it might get stolen.lol!
The only drawback is I traded in a Toyota Tundra for this vehicle which was also a V8 and I used to fill up once every two weeks and now with this Chrysler Aspen I fill up once a week??? And my driving habits have not changed, so I'm not sure if it has something to do with the hemi or what, but the Tundra seems to be better on gas....read morehide

My husband bought me our Aspen after we looked around a lot. We never did find a better SUV for the price. We have 8 in our family and we all fit very well. I feel the children are safe, and I just love to drive it. I have had people do a double take when I drive by. I even have people stop me and ask about the vehicle. I would recomend the Aspen to anyone who loves to drive comfortably going on a long trip, or just to pick the kids up from school. I just LOVE it....read morehide
