My 2003 Crown LX is a pleasure in every way. Because of the price of gas and the mileage I get it is as good as a small so called Economy Car. I know the Mercury Marquis has rplaced it, but I still maintain the Crown Vic LX is the best.

This is a decent ride with plenty of spacious cargo room, tons of leg room. Huge trunk. Lots of power for a ford. Cool ride if you want to look like a cop car.

the car is very nice but the main problems are i can't feel I'm driven a V8 car, the handling of this car is terrible ,and at high speed the car shakes.

Have a 2003 Crown Vic. purchased brand new. Has 62000 miles never had a problem. EVERYHING WORKS. Rides and drives like it's brand new. (Knock on wood) I have never had this experience before in car ownership. Have previous had Japan and other American brands. Was thinking about trading in for a 2010, but now that's not possible. Don't care for the extra plastic ornamnets glued all over the Grand Marquis. Get almost as good of gas mileage as the small "economy" uncomfortable Japanese cars I've owned in the past....read morehide

Really hated to hear Ford was no longer offering the Crown Vic to the public. I have a 2003 with 48,000 miles on it. Recently drove it
between 2400 and 2500 miles on vacation. Checked mileage for
2,380 miles and got 25.9 mpg. Don't think you could ask for much
more from a full size sedan with a V-8. That was with cruise control
set at 68 mph on interstate and speed limit on secondary roads. The
only problem I have had is some brake chatter when stopping....read morehide

I love my 2005 Crown Vic. This is the first one I have owned. I am sorry that Ford has decided to not offer the CV to the public after 2007. The next car I get will have to be the Grand Marquis.
On the highway the car is responsive and handles really well. Wind is not a problem at 80 MPH you hardly feel it at all. If it's a head wind, the only thing you notice is a drop in mileage. When you step on it to pass, before you know it you are around the line of trucks and going 100 MPH. It could go 100 MPH all day if the cops would let you. Of course I have good Michelin tires on this car....read morehide

I am driving a 2006 Marquis that I bought new last April replacing a 1998 model with 200K miles I found the new model having much better fuel economy. The seats are very comfortable. Very safe feeling to drive and handles well in both rain and snow storms.
I hope the Grand Marquis will not be discontinued but hope it will have some internal "facelifts" with more storage places above visors. and glove compartment. Controls ofThe trip computer also need to be located better - same with speaker adjustments.
I am very happy with my second Grand Marquis and expect it to last at least 200K miles like my 1998 model....read morehide

I think that Ford Motor Company is making another mistake in discontinuing the Crown Vic as they did when they quit building the Ford Tuarus and the Mercury Sable. They had to bring them both back again. The police departments and other public service agencies need a car that can take the everyday abuse that the Crown Vic can. I look at the Crown Vic in different ways because you can buy a Crown Vic or a Mercury Marqueis without incurring the cost of a Lincoln which is built on the same frame. I also look at the Crown Vic as being the F-150 of the car line because of its strength and eye catching style. I wouldn't be suprised to see the Crown Vic come back again, so come on Ford don't disapoint us....read morehide
