My wife wanted a Camry and looked and test drove the Toyota and we were set to buy until we drove the Fusion just for hoots- game over- This has been the best car we have ever owned- Car now has 55,000 miles with no service work except oil changes- Just installed new set of Goodyear Response Edge tires- I just thought the car handled and rode good before- now it is better than when new...read morehide

I have had my Fusion a while now. I have just over 50,000 miles on it. I have not had to repair a single thing. I keep the oil and air filters changed when they are supposed to and my car has treated me right. It was reasonably priced. It looks sporty but also looks like a family car. It is comfortable to ride in for long periods. Lots of head room. Great speakers. 6 CD changer with MP3 input. It handles well. I get around 26 MPG average. 450+miles per tank. All around a great car.
My complaints: It doesn't have a great turn radius. It is comparable to an Altima or Camry but it could be better. Also, you can hear the outside environment a little more than other cars in it's class but nothing bad enough to bother me. Just worth mentioning....read morehide

I BARELY HAVE 1300 MILES ON MY CAR AND IT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS 7 YEARS OLD. GAS MILEAGE IS NOT GOOD ON THE CAR I ONLY GET ABOUT 16-18MPG NOT 24. I AM VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THE CAR FOR THE PRICE. SLOW PERFORMANCE; GRANDMA CAR, AND CAR SOUNDS HORRIBLE. IT JUST LOOKS GOOD ON THE OUTSIDE. I WILL NEVER BUY A FORD AGAIN FIRST AND LAST TIME....read morehide

This is the first car I bought on my own and my second Ford vehicle. I love my car. It's comfortable for short or long trips. It come with Sirius radio and I never listen to FM anymore. It's spacious inside the car and in the trunk. I live in the city and the 4 cylinder works great for me. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for something affordable and stylish....read morehide

The car is cheap... Initial value means just that, value while its sitting new on the lot. Ok, had the car for roughly 4 months now and the interior has more squeaks and rattles than my old truck with 150,000 miles on it. The driver seat squeaks, the passenger seat squeaks, the handle above the passnger seat squeaks when pulled (I've decided to keep a bottle of household oil handy) and the speakers in the front doors sound like they are blown because the plastic around them vibrates.
The engine (4 cylinder, if you must have a Ford, buy the V-6) sounds horrible and is weak... Has krappy gas mileage for a 4 banger, tranny shifting is extremely sloppy and annoying as second gear jerks you if you do not gas it right...
All in all, I'm very dissappointed in the car... I cannot wait until my lease is up so that I can get out of it. Its really sad how many corners were cut to save money on manufacture and materials, and Ford is thinking about raising their prices? Don't buy a Fusion....read morehide

my dealer was at fault never told me the NEW car had 500 miles on it brakes (4 wheel disc) shook me off the seat had to have all four discs refaced before going home in my new car the console was full of used napkins and kleenex to boot--again poor dealer work. all in all I like the car but do wish the transmission had a "second" position . I live on a hill and have to ride the brakes all the way down. I try to buy american but this was built in mexico. I have owned 200 cars-mostly Ford- but will probably buy an american made toyota next time....read morehide

1. Oil leak
2. Idles fast and the steering wheel shakes
3. Brakes - back and front squeak
4. Poor gas milage- 18 per gal- Ford lied about milage
5. There is an exhaust smell inthe cabin of the car now after the dealership worked on it (3 days)
This is the second time I've put in a review.
Ford never adds it to the review. Interesting........read morehide

BOUGHT FUSION 2007 4 CYL 8 MONTHS AGO- IMPRESSIVE QUALITY BUT THE RIDE IS MUCH TOO HARSH. FORD CLAIMS 24 MPG AND I AVERAGE ABOUT 16 MPG . I'VE SPOKEN TO DOZENS OF FUSION 2007 OWNERS AT THE FORD DEALER WHILE HAVING SERVICE DONE AND THEY ALL COMPLAINED OF TERRIBLE MPG. MY PREVIOUS CARS WERE ACCORD'S & CAMRY'S AND THE RIDE WAS SUPER COMFY AND MPG WAS ALWAYS AROUND 23 MPG. THIS WAS MY FIRST FORD FUSION AND SORRY TO SAY IT'LL BE MY LAST...read morehide

I am renting this vehicle as i write. it is a cute car, a little smaller than my 05 taurus. but the car is comfortable. i like the design of the vehicle. but i am not crazy about the room, it kind of reminds me of the Honda accords size 2006 and older models. that is one of the reason i never cared for the honda accords.but it does drive smooth almost like the Toyota Camry. i love the fogs light on the vehicle and the two tailpipes. at the intersection, i have noticed a couple of stares. it is a pretty cool vehicle. i also love the facted that i have a 6 cd changer which i don`t have to worry about looking for certain cd`s to play. i can put 6 of my favorite cd`s in the cd player and when ever i want to hear that certain cd all i have to do is pick the slot that it is in and hit play. the only three problems that i have with this vehicle, is no# 1: the rear end of the car, it sits up a little to high for me. when backing up it is a little hard to see because the trunk sits up high no#2: with this vehicle is it has a lot of blind spots so u have to be extra careful, when swicthing in a lane, and no#3 is the 4 cyl is SLOW, now even though my taurus is considered a boring vehicle, she can pick up very well, she is a V6, so if i decided to get the fusion i`d have to get a V6, fully equiped the SEL trim level and AWD,other than that, it was a good move for Ford to make a mid-size vehicle like the Fusion, and not like its earlier brother the CONTOUR!...read morehide
