I just purchased my new Accord Hybrid last week. I love the car. I traveled back to my home town last weekend, which was 200 miles. I kept it on ECO for the whole trip at 72 MPH. I averaged 37.2 MPG. I could not be happier. I am now over the break-in period and truely tested the acceleration on the way to work today and was blown away. I hope my experience so far continues in the future....read morehide

I can take this same body style and convert it to extreme fuel economy and ranges far beyond this wasteful performance, at the same horsepower ratings you present for consumers to purchase. As hybrids go, it is a fuel hog mammoth. I don't even consider this a hybrid based on fuel economy and it's poor range as a hybrid....read morehide

Awesome vehicle!!!!!! i have gotten has high as 42Hwy/32City. Great looking car, and the comfort is outragous. Best vehicle I ever bought hands down. Honda did it right this Hybrid, I like 100 times better than the Civic Hybrid......

Very quiet and comfortable drive; great sense of control at the steering wheel. Regarding the somewhat disapppointing city gas mileage, one has to remember this remains a heavy vehicle with a powerful engine, making it difficult to compare to smaller hybrid; the numbers have been revised for the 2006 model onward, mine being a 2005 -then announced 29 city 37 hwy-. I actually do pretty well 26 city, 40 hwy with an overall average of 31 right now. It is awesome for long trips....read morehide

A hybrid with power, the car teaches you how to drive responsibly. To get the best mileage you need to stay within the ECO zone on the speedometer. A hybrid is a partnership, you can't do jack rabbit starts and drive 90 MPH and expect high mileage. My first long highway trip I put the cruise on at 72 MPH and watched the mileage increase to 37 MPG (there is an MPG indicator on thr speedometer). My wife and I are very happy with this car!...read morehide

I'll never buy a Honda again. I actually liked the car-thought it drove well and was impressed by the quality of the vehicle. I paid $3,000 more for the Hybrid version and when I tried to sell it a year later it sold for LESS that the gas Accord. I have always heard that Hondas retained their value-with Hybrids DON'T Believe it! I took a bath on this car. No one wants them. Maybe if gas goes above $4 they will be popular again. It's too bad because it's better for the environment, just not my wallet. BUMMER. Honda Hybrid-bad investment....read morehide

While I am glad I bought the Hybrid, Honda has a lot of work to do on getting this vehicle to the public without all of the warranty issues. I have had mine in three times and still have one outstanding issue to be resolved. The notorious clunk in the drive train is accurate and my local dealer has no idea what it is or how to fix it. The service department at Honda is no where near the professional environment they have at the sister company, Acura. I've had three Acura's before the Hybrid and they were almost problem free and when you did visit a dealer, you were taken care of. Honda does not even come close to this type of performance....read morehide

I thought the gas mileage would be better then it is but I drive from NH to PA to visit my kids and I used to have to get gas on the way, now I have 1/3 tank when I get there. That's good! I like the idea of driving a Hybrid and if people keep buying them they will get better and better.
I leased mine so in 36 months I can decide to return it or buy it depending on its value at that time. Also that way if I don't want to I never have to drive it out of warranty or worry about the batteries...read morehide

Bought my 2006 hybrid in September of 2006. It has everything but the navigation system. I do as much highway driving as local. My average is 28 mpg. Perhaps warmer weather will bring higher mpg. Had good luck with another Accord before this and only bought a hybrid because I thought it was helping the environment. My prior car, Acura, used high test gas and I was sick of paying the gas price. I'm short and the car is very comfortable for me....read morehide
